What an OLED aftermarket screen can and cannot do on the S23 Ultra
An aftermarket screen is a panel that does not come from Samsung's own production line but is made to fit the S23 Ultra. At Reparo it is an OLED panel, never an LCD. That is the key difference from cheap versions: blacks stay black, the always-on display does not drain more battery than before, and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor can still read through the panel. With LCD copies, that sensor stops working.
Where the aftermarket part falls short, we say so plainly: it is a little dimmer than the original in midday sun. It keeps the 120 Hz though, so scrolling feels just as it did before.
