Sony uses classic thermal paste in the PS4 (not liquid metal like the PS5) to transfer heat away from the processor chip. After 3–4 years the thermal paste becomes hard, brittle or loses its grip – this leads to heat build-up and overheating. A professional thermal paste refresh is then needed – we use high-quality paste certified for consoles.
What is the WLOD error on the PS4?
WLOD stands for "White Light of Death". The PS4 lights up white but won't start fully or restarts again and again. Causes can be a power supply fault, a board problem, a memory error or overheated components. The diagnosis pinpoints the exact cause – the repair starts from €89.
