Will I really get my phone back the same day?
Yes — that is the standard, not a best-case outcome. Same-day pickup AND same-day delivery is how every job runs by default. The only exception: if the technician calls you before the pickup to confirm a longer timeline (rare parts, severe water damage, mainboard work). You always know in advance — never afterwards.
Do I need to be home when the courier arrives?
Someone needs to physically hand the phone over — you, a partner, a colleague, the hotel reception, your building's concierge. We agree on a concrete time window when booking, not an open-ended "sometime today." Saves both sides time.
Is the phone insured during pickup and delivery?
Yes. The device is covered during transport to and from our workshop. The transport is handled by our own courier (not a third-party parcel service), so the chain of custody stays short and the device doesn't get tossed around in a depot.
How should I pack the phone for pickup?
No packaging required — the courier brings a protective sleeve for the phone. Just hand it over with whatever case you normally use. For tablets or PlayStation consoles, we ask you to remove accessories (charging cable, controllers) unless we've specifically agreed otherwise.
How do I pay for the repair?
Payment is settled at delivery time — card (contactless preferred) or cash, your choice. You only pay after the repair is done and you have the device back in your hands. No upfront payment, no card-on-file.
What if diagnosis reveals a bigger problem after pickup?
Sometimes a screen issue turns out to also involve mainboard damage, or a water-damaged phone needs more than a clean. In that case we pause the repair, call or email you with a revised quote, and only proceed after explicit go-ahead. The device stays safe at our 1020 workshop. You're never billed for work you didn't approve.
Can you collect from a hotel or short-stay apartment?
Yes — hotel rooms, Airbnb apartments and serviced flats across Vienna are routine pickup locations. Tourists with cracked iPhone screens, expats in short-term housing, business travellers around the Ring — all standard cases. Tell us the hotel address and a contact name at reception.
Do you pick up from offices and embassies?
Yes. UN City offices, embassies in the 1st, 3rd, 9th and 19th districts, international companies and international schools are regular pickup spots. For corporate or diplomatic devices we follow the additional discretion procedures and can issue formal receipts in English.
What if the repair takes longer than expected?
We never surprise you after the fact. Will I lose my data during the repair?
For standard screen and battery jobs, all data stays on the device — we don't touch storage. We still recommend a backup (iCloud, Google One) before pickup. For water damage repairs the situation is different; we explain the data risk before starting.
What if I'm not happy with the repair after delivery?
Every pickup repair includes a 6-month warranty on parts and labour. If something with the repaired component goes wrong inside that window, we collect the phone again (free pickup), fix it, and deliver it back. No additional cost for warranty cases.
Can I get a written quote before confirming the pickup?
Yes — describe the model and defect via the contact form or by phone, and we send a written price estimate (email) before any pickup is scheduled. The estimate is binding within reason; if diagnosis reveals additional issues we ask again before doing extra work.
Do you also pick up PlayStation consoles and tablets?
Yes — PlayStation 4, PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro and most Android tablets and iPads. Consoles are bulkier, so we coordinate the pickup window a bit more carefully, but the price model is identical: free pickup, you only pay for the repair after the quote.
