Send your phone for repair from anywhere in Austria

You don't have to live in Vienna to access an English-speaking phone repair workshop. Reparo accepts send-in repairs from across Austria — iPhone from Salzburg, Samsung Galaxy from Graz, Google Pixel from Linz, PlayStation 5 from Innsbruck, Fairphone from Klagenfurt or a tablet from Bregenz. The process is the same wherever you ship from: complete the online form, pack the device, drop it at a parcel shop. We handle the rest.

What you can mail in

Smartphones of all major brands (Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S and A series, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, Fairphone, Nothing Phone, OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, Oppo, Realme), all current PlayStation models (PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro, PS5 Digital Edition) and most tablets (iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab). Not sure if your device qualifies? Call or write us first — it takes two minutes to confirm.

How billing works on a send-in repair

Diagnosis is EUR 25 — and that fee disappears completely the moment you confirm the repair. You only pay the actual repair price after written approval. Before any work happens, you get an itemised quote by email. Nothing starts without your explicit go-ahead. No hidden surcharges, no surprise invoices.

How safe is the shipping?

Use an insured shipping service (Austrian Post, DHL, DPD) and pad the device generously — bubble wrap, foam, the original box if you still have it. We organise the return shipping ourselves, also insured, included in the repair price. The device travels safely both ways and reaches you tested and ready to use.

How long does a send-in repair take?

From the moment the parcel arrives at our Vienna workshop: roughly 1–2 business days for diagnosis plus the repair time (screen replacement: 1 business day, water damage: 2–3 business days). Add the shipping time in both directions — typically 1–2 business days each way within Austria. So the realistic round-trip from Salzburg or Graz is 5–7 business days end to end.

For expats and English-speaking residents across Austria

You don't need to commute to Vienna to find an English-speaking repair workshop. The entire send-in flow — confirmation email, written quote, warranty receipt — runs in English by default. Useful for diplomats posted to Vienna but living temporarily in regional cities, exchange students at Graz or Innsbruck universities, international families in Salzburg, and Austria-based remote workers from English-speaking countries.

Send-in service — common questions

Where do I ship the device?
Reparo, Dr.-Natterer-Gasse 4a/Top 57, 1020 Vienna, Austria. Choose insured shipping and pack the device well in bubble wrap or equivalent padding. No accessories unless we agreed otherwise. Print the order confirmation and include it inside the parcel.
Do I need to contact you before shipping or can I just send it?
The online form on this page is enough — you don't need to call first. Complete the form, download the confirmation, print it, include it with the parcel. We respond within 24 hours of receiving the device with the diagnosis.
How much does the send-in repair cost?
Diagnosis is EUR 25 — waived completely if you confirm the repair. You only pay the actual repair price. You receive a written quote by email before any work starts. Return shipping within Austria is included in the repair price.
What if I decide not to repair after the quote?
If you decline the quote we ship the device back. The EUR 25 diagnosis fee plus return shipping is then due. If you don't object to the quote within 5 business days, it counts as tacitly accepted — that's also confirmed in the order form.
Will my data be preserved during the repair?
For screen, battery and most hardware repairs all data stays on the device — we open the case, we don't touch storage. We still recommend a current backup (iCloud, Google One) before shipping. For water damage or mainboard repairs data integrity cannot be guaranteed; we tell you upfront if that risk applies.
Which carriers can I use to ship the device?
Austrian Post, DHL, DPD, GLS — any major Austrian carrier works. We recommend insured shipping ("Versicherter Versand" / "insured delivery") with tracking. Drop-off at any standard parcel shop is fine; the parcel reaches us at the 1020 Vienna address within 1–2 business days from anywhere in Austria.
What's the best way to package the device?
Wrap the phone in two layers of bubble wrap, place it in a cardboard box at least twice the device size, fill empty space with foam or crumpled paper, seal with tape. For PlayStation consoles the original box is ideal if you still have it. Avoid loose padding that the device can move inside.
How long does the whole round-trip take?
Realistic timing: 1–2 business days shipping to us, 1–2 business days diagnosis and repair (screen, battery), 1–2 business days return shipping. So 4–6 business days end-to-end for standard repairs from Graz, Linz, Salzburg or Innsbruck. Water damage and mainboard repairs add 2–3 business days at the workshop.
How do I pay for the repair?
Bank transfer (SEPA) after the repair is complete and before return shipping. We send the invoice by email; the device ships back once payment lands. For corporate customers and embassies we can issue formal invoices and accept purchase orders.
Is there a warranty on the send-in repair?
Yes — 6 months on all repairs and installed parts, Austria-wide, regardless of whether you mailed the device in or used the Vienna pickup service. The warranty covers material and workmanship defects, not new damage from drops or liquid contact after the repair.
Can I include accessories like a charging cable or case?
Please don't — unless we explicitly asked for it. Accessories add weight, increase shipping risk and can be lost in our workshop sorting. Send the device only; we have all the standard cables, adapters and diagnostic tools needed for the repair.
What if the parcel is damaged or lost in transit?
That's why we recommend insured shipping. If something goes wrong on the way to us, you file the claim with the carrier (Post, DHL, DPD) — the receipt and tracking number are your proof. We help with the documentation. For the return journey, we cover the insurance from our side.
Can I use this service from outside Austria?
Send-in works smoothest from within Austria — customs, return shipping and warranty terms are designed for the Austrian market. For shipments from Germany or other EU countries, contact us first so we can advise on customs paperwork and return shipping options. We can usually still help.
What devices do you accept?
Smartphones (iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Fairphone, OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, Nothing, Oppo, Realme), PlayStation 4, PS4 Pro, PS5, PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro, PS5 Digital Edition, and tablets (iPad, Samsung Tab). For unusual devices, send a quick message — we reply within a business day.
What if I'd rather use the paper form?
The printable PDF form is at the top of this page (button "Print form"). Print it, fill it in by hand, sign it, include it with the parcel. The online form has the advantage of an instant digital order confirmation — recommended for your own records and faster intake on our side.
