About Reparo Vienna – English-Speaking Phone Repair

Behind Reparo stands Joseph — a technician with more than ten years of hands-on repair experience and a simple rule: every device gets the same care as if it were his own. No anonymous chain shop, no off-shore call centre. A direct, English-speaking phone repair specialist for Vienna's international community.

How Reparo started

Reparo grew out of more than a decade in the smartphone repair trade. What began as a technical fascination turned into a real business — at one point with three Vienna locations: two on the Mariahilfer Straße and one at the Neuer Markt in the 1st district. Whoever wanted to repair a phone in Vienna usually found their way to us.

Over time, more and more companies started asking for help. Whole device fleets, regular service contracts, repeat repairs at scale. That demand kept growing — a sign that quality work spreads on its own. The shopfronts mattered less; the work came in bundled and predictable.

Then Joseph became a father. With a small daughter, priorities shift. The shops were closed and the workshop moved behind the scenes — leaner, more flexible, with the same workshop-grade quality kept intact for every single repair.

But the private customers were missed. The direct conversation, the relief on someone's face when they say: "Great, thank you — I almost lost those photos." That's exactly why Reparo exists in this form today.

Joseph

Founder & Technician, Reparo Vienna

More than 10 years in smartphone and device repair. Previously three locations in Vienna, today a personal pickup service across the city and a send-in service for the rest of Austria — so customers don't have to drop anything off and we stay fully focused on the repair itself.

Why no walk-in store?

Because in 2026 a walk-in store quietly adds cost without adding quality. Fixed opening hours, rent, less flexibility — and in the end the customer pays for that. With our pickup service we come to you in Vienna, or you mail the device in from anywhere in Austria. The repair itself is done with the same precision as ever, just without the detour across a counter.

Experience you can feel

Years of repairing devices in series for companies leaves a mark. We work fast and precisely because mistakes cost time — and because behind every device there is a person who depends on it. That same standard goes into every private repair, whether it's an iPhone display or a PlayStation that has stopped giving any sound.

Why English-speaking customers come to us

Vienna is home to around 200,000 international residents — UN City staff, OPEC delegates, diplomats, exchange students at WU and the University of Vienna, families at Vienna International School, tourists with a cracked iPhone screen from a fall on the Stephansplatz. They all share the same problem: most Vienna repair shops only operate in German. Reparo communicates entirely in English — from the first call to the final receipt — which makes a complex repair feel like an ordinary errand.

The road to Reparo

Beginnings

First steps in the repair trade

What started as a technical hobby quickly turned into a real craft. Smartphones, tablets, consoles — the more complex the device, the more interesting the problem became.

Growth

Three locations in Vienna

Two stores on the Mariahilfer Straße and one at the Neuer Markt in the 1st district. Hundreds of customers per day, a growing team and a real presence across the city centre.

Expansion

Corporate repair contracts

More and more companies handed us their device fleets. The demand from the business side kept growing — proof that consistent quality gets passed on inside organisations.

Refocus

Back to what matters

The shopfronts were closed and the operation re-shaped. Less overhead, more attention per order — predictable, flexible and fully focused on the actual repair work.

Today

Reparo — private repair rebuilt

We bring personal repair back to private customers — without a walk-in store, but with real service: pickup across Vienna and send-in service for customers anywhere in Austria.

What sets us apart

Honesty before revenue

If a repair really isn't worth it, we say so. You get an honest assessment — even when that means you save your money and we don't get the job.

Direct contact, in English

You talk to someone who actually does the repair — no call centre, no waiting queue. We know your photos, contacts and memories sit on that device.

6-month warranty

Every repair and every installed part is covered by a 6-month warranty. Because we stand behind the work we deliver.

Transparent pricing

Diagnosis is EUR 25 — waived as soon as you confirm the repair. No hidden charges, no repair started without your explicit go-ahead.

10+ years of experience

When you've serviced corporate device fleets for years, you don't experiment on the next iPhone display. That experience flows into every single repair.

Your data stays your data

No access to storage, no factory reset without your permission. Your device comes back the way you handed it over — only repaired.

How your device reaches us

No walk-in store and no dropping by — that may sound unusual, but in practice it's much more convenient. Nothing to plan around, no detour through the city. We take care of the logistics.

Pickup service across Vienna

We come to your home or office, collect the device, repair it at our workshop in 1020 Vienna and return it to you — all 23 districts covered.

Send-in service Austria-wide

Not based in Vienna? No problem. Pack the device securely, send it in by post — after the repair it comes back to you with insured return shipping.

About Reparo – common questions

Does Reparo really operate in English?
Yes — every part of the customer experience runs in English. The first call, email confirmations, the diagnosis, the cost estimate, the warranty receipt. That's why so many UN City, OPEC, embassy and Vienna International School families use Reparo instead of switching shops every time something breaks.
How many years of repair experience does Reparo have?
More than ten years. Reparo's founder Joseph spent that decade repairing iPhones, Samsung Galaxy devices, Pixel phones and PlayStation consoles — first across three Vienna shops, then on corporate fleets, now as a focused pickup and send-in workshop for private customers.
Why doesn't Reparo have a walk-in store anymore?
A shopfront adds rent, fixed opening hours and overhead — costs that quietly end up on the invoice. By running a workshop-only model in 1020 Vienna with pickup and send-in service, we keep prices fair and the focus on the actual repair, not on managing a counter.
Is Reparo certified to repair phones?
The technician behind Reparo has more than ten years of hands-on repair experience and previously serviced entire device fleets for Austrian companies. We use OEM and certified aftermarket parts, follow manufacturer guidance and back every repair with a 6-month warranty.
What warranty do I get on a Reparo repair?
Every repair includes a 6-month warranty covering both the replacement part and the workmanship. If the same component fails again within that time, we look at it and fix it free of charge. The warranty doesn't cover new damage from drops or liquid contact after the repair.
Where is the Reparo workshop located in Vienna?
The workshop sits at Dr.-Natterer-Gasse 4a/Top 57, 1020 Vienna (Leopoldstadt) — close to UN City, the Donaukanal and the 2nd district expat hub. It's not a walk-in store; the address is the receiving point for our pickup service and for parcels sent in from elsewhere in Austria.
What languages does Reparo speak besides English?
German and English are the two languages we run the business in. Most incoming calls and emails are handled in English by the same person who does the technical work, so nothing gets lost in translation between front desk and workshop.
Can I trust Reparo with corporate or diplomatic devices?
Yes. Before refocusing on private customers Reparo handled corporate fleets for Austrian companies — that experience shaped the discretion and care we bring to embassy, UN and international organisation devices today. Devices are never connected to our networks beyond what the repair requires.
