The Sony manufacturer warranty generally voids once any independent repair shop opens the console — that applies to every third-party service, not just Reparo. In return you receive a 6-month warranty from us covering the work we did and every part we installed. Most PS5s out of Sony warranty now anyway, since the console launched in late 2020.

Yes — the send-in route works from anywhere in Austria. Pack the console carefully (original box if possible, plenty of padding), include a short note with the defect and your contact details, and ship it insured. Three common causes: the drive mechanism is jammed (service €89), the KES-497A laser pickup has failed (replacement in the same service window), or the entire drive assembly needs replacing. A loud fan rarely means the fan itself is broken — it usually means dust has accumulated on the heatsink and the system spins the fan up because heat isn't being moved away. For mainboard work or severe BLOD cases the SSD may need to be disconnected, in which case we discuss this with you upfront. PS Plus cloud saves are safe regardless — we recommend syncing before drop-off either way.

Yes. The Digital Edition has no disc drive but every other component — HDMI, power supply, APU, DualSense pairing — is the same as the disc model. We repair PS5 Standard, PS5 Slim, PS5 Slim Digital Edition and PS5 Pro. The Slim Digital can also have a disc drive module added later, which we install too.

PS5 M.2 NVMe Gen 4 SSD installation costs from €29 labour at Reparo — the SSD itself isn't included. We install the SSD, mount the heatsink correctly so it makes proper thermal contact, and format the drive through the PS5 system menu. Recommended: at least a 1 TB Sony-spec Gen 4 SSD like the WD Black SN850X or Samsung 990 Pro with a heatsink. Total upgrade roughly €120–180 depending on drive choice.

It depends on how long the liquid was in contact with the board and which components took the hit. We clean the mainboard in an ultrasonic bath, check HDMI port, power delivery rails and every connector, and replace anything that's corroded. The sooner you send the console in, the higher the success rate. Crucial: do not switch the PS5 on before it reaches us — powering up a wet board usually turns a recoverable case into scrap.

Three main causes: faulty power supply (no standby LED, replacement from €99), broken power-button subboard (no reaction to press, from €79), or mainboard damage requiring BGA reballing on the APU. Diagnosis (€25, waived if you proceed) tells us which. Quick check at home first: try a different power cable and hold the power button for 30 seconds — sometimes the PSU is just stuck in protection mode.

Stick drift means uncontrolled in-game movement when you're not touching the stick. Cause: the carbon track on the internal potentiometer wears down and outputs noise. Sony tweaked the design slightly in later DualSense revisions but the issue still occurs. We swap the worn stick module for a new ALPS-compatible part — this restores a clean centre position and typically lasts another 2–3 years.

The PS5 Slim (CFI-2000) has a more compact cooling assembly that traps dust faster than the original PS5. We handle HDMI port damage, overheating via cleaning and thermal compound replacement, disc drive faults on the disc variant, and DualSense drift. The internals differ noticeably from the original CFI-1000, but our parts inventory covers both.
