The battery in the iPhone 11 is a 3,110 mAh L-shaped cell, fixed in place with adhesive strips. Apple rates it at 1,000 full charge cycles before dropping to 80 % remaining capacity — after 3-4 years of heavy use that is almost always reached. Symptoms: the device no longer lasts half a day, suddenly shuts down at 30 %, or only charges slowly. Repairing the iPhone 11 back cover & glass back

The iPhone 11 back cover is made of hardened glass, firmly bonded to the aluminium frame. If the glass breaks after a drop, usually only the back is affected — the inside stays intact. The back cover replacement is, however, demanding because the glass has to be separated from the frame with a laser without damaging the wireless Qi charging coil (no MagSafe coil on the iPhone 11 — that only arrived with the iPhone 12). The iPhone 11 has a dual camera (12 MP wide + 12 MP ultrawide) with Night Mode — no telephoto lens like the Pro models. Two common damage patterns: the protective glass over the lenses is broken (camera glass replacement EUR 19.90 per lens, image quality still OK), or the module itself produces blurry images or the autofocus does not respond — then the module has to be replaced (EUR 59). The front camera (12 MP TrueDepth) is a separate module and can be replaced independently — important, because it is also needed for Face ID.

The iPhone 11 still has the Lightning connector (USB-C only arrived with the iPhone 15). Typical symptoms: the charging cable does not hold firmly in the port, the device only charges at certain angles, or fast charging no longer works. First diagnosis: test another original Apple Lightning cable and check the port for lint (a cleaning often already does the trick, costs EUR 10).
