The Samsung service code *#0228# shows voltage, temperature and cycle count. A capacity below 80 % or more than 500 cycles justifies the replacement.
- Open the back cover or display
On the Galaxy A50, the battery sits behind the back cover on models from 2021. We heat the adhesive layer to 70 °C and release it carefully.
- Remove the old battery
The 4000-mAh cell is fixed to the plastic frame with pull tabs. We loosen the adhesive with isopropanol 99, never with a screwdriver as a lever.
- Fit a certified 4000-mAh cell
Same nominal voltage (3.85 V), same capacity, same form factor. Connector on the mainboard, adhesive on the frame, contact pressure controlled.
- Reseal
The frame is closed with new adhesive. The Galaxy A50 has no factory IP protection – but protection against dust and splashing water is restored.
