When the Realme X2 Pro needs a new AMOLED screen

Typical signs are a green or pink stripe running vertically across the display, a dark patch that slowly grows, or burnt-in shadows. You unlock the X2 Pro with an optical sensor that sits directly under the AMOLED glass. If the panel is damaged or swapped, the in-display fingerprint has to be re-enrolled and recalibrated, otherwise it no longer recognises your finger reliably. Does the fingerprint sensor work again after the screen swap?
Yes. As the X2 Pro sensor lies optically under the AMOLED glass, we recalibrate it after every screen swap and you re-enrol your finger afterwards. The device then unlocks reliably again via the in-display fingerprint.
The glass is cracked but the AMOLED image still works – do I still need a swap?

Yes, a screen swap does not change the storage of the X2 Pro – photos, contacts and apps stay untouched. Only the fingerprint has to be re-enrolled. A backup beforehand never hurts, especially if moisture was also involved.
Can I drop the X2 Pro off with you for the screen swap?
We do not have a shop with walk-in customers. Instead we collect the X2 Pro in Vienna with the pickup service, or you send it in by post – both routes end with the fully repaired device back at your home.
How does the X2 Pro pickup service in Vienna work?
You book online or by phone, then we set a collection slot. A courier takes the X2 Pro from you, in the workshop we fit the new AMOLED unit and afterwards we deliver the device back to you.
Can I send my X2 Pro in from Salzburg or Tyrol for the screen swap?
Yes, the send-in service applies Austria-wide. Pad the X2 Pro well and send it to Dr.-Natterer-Gasse 4a/Top 57, 1020 Vienna. After the AMOLED swap the device comes back to you insured.
