Poco F6 Screen Replacement Vienna
Does HDR mode on the Poco F6 now show only a white image with a grey gradient instead of rich contrast – while SDR content still runs stable? After an impact the HDR signal path in the AMOLED panel is damaged, and highly dynamic scenes can no longer be displayed correctly. Reparo replaces the 6.67-inch AMOLED with HDR10+ in Vienna – €179 fixed price, usually within 2–3 hours, with 6 months warranty.

What to expect with the Poco F6 screen replacement
The Poco F6 is opened, the 6.67-inch AMOLED module with HDR10+ and 12-bit colour depth is removed. A tested replacement panel is fitted, the punch-hole for the front camera cleanly aligned. We then check HDR playback, 120 Hz mode and contrast behaviour across the entire dynamic range.
Usually 2–3 hours of workshop time. With pickup in Vienna the Poco F6 is often back with you the same working day. Sent in from across Austria: typically 1–3 working days after arrival.
HDR10+ reproduces highly dynamic scenes again with deep blacks and fine light gradations. The 120 Hz mode runs smoothly, the 12-bit colour reproduction shows fine colour transitions again without banding. The under-display selfie cam stays untouched.
€179 fixed price incl. AMOLED panel, installation and 6 months warranty. Diagnostic check 25 EUR and it is waived completely as soon as you order the repair. The total price is confirmed in writing before we start.
Typical display damage on the Poco F6
Dolby Vision or HDR10+ content is displayed as a flat, mostly white image with a grey gradient. SDR mode runs stable in parallel. That shows: the HDR signal path in the AMOLED panel is internally broken after an impact, even though the glass looks unremarkable on the surface.
When playing HDR series or during HDR gaming the image stops or jumps into overexposed areas. Normal YouTube videos or social feeds, on the other hand, run without problems. The panel can no longer cleanly reproduce the 12-bit colour gradations in dynamic scenes.
On the Poco F6 the punch-hole is a structurally sensitive spot of the AMOLED. A fall with impact on the upper middle of the display often creates fine cracks around the selfie camera that slowly spread further and disturb the touch sensor in the upper third.
Sunsets, dark game scenes or colour gradients in apps suddenly show visible steps instead of smooth transitions. The 12-bit driving of the AMOLED no longer delivers the full 68 billion colours – the panel scales down to 8-bit.
The peak brightness of up to 2400 nits is no longer reached. Outdoors the image looks milky, details in sunlight blur. The brightness control in the AMOLED has partly failed after an impact or pressure damage.
Scrolling in Chrome or Instagram stutters for fractions of a second even though 120 Hz mode is active. The adaptive refresh rate no longer switches cleanly between 60, 90 and 120 Hz – a symptom of panel-internal control logic damage after a fall.

Repair the Poco F6 display or upgrade to the Xiaomi 14?
The Poco F6 (released 2024) is only around two years old and is one of the most popular mid-range performance models. HDR10+, 12-bit colour depth, 120 Hz AMOLED and 90 W fast charging all stay intact with a screen replacement. A comparable new device like the Xiaomi 14 starts at about €899 – almost five times the repair price.
- €179 fixed price – clearly calculated
- HDR10+, 12-bit colours & 120 Hz stay
- All data, apps, logins stay untouched
- 2–3 hours workshop time
- 6 months warranty on panel & installation
- From about €899 – plus accessories
- Complete setup & data migration needed
- Sell or dispose of the old Poco F6
- Getting used to the HyperOS layout
Anyone happy with the Poco F6 is economically and ecologically much better off with the screen replacement in the case of an isolated AMOLED fault.
Which AMOLED panel does Reparo use for the Poco F6?
We fit a tested 6.67-inch AMOLED replacement panel that mirrors the full specifications of the original panel: 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, 12-bit colour depth (68 billion colours) and a peak brightness of up to 2400 nits. Every panel is checked before installation for HDR playback, touch response of the punch-hole zone and even colour reproduction across the entire black range.
Poco F6 display broken – what to do now in concrete terms
The Poco F6 came onto the market in 2024 and is therefore one of the younger mid-range flagships that Reparo regularly gets into the workshop. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with HDR10+, 12-bit colour depth and 120 Hz is among the best displays in its price class – at the same time it is the most sensitive component in a fall. Damage that is barely visible from the outside is often only noticed when HDR content suddenly looks pale, grey or affected by banding, while SDR material still runs normally.
Important: The Poco F6 has no walk-in model. You cannot bring the device by directly. Reparo works in two ways – via pickup service within Vienna or through insured send-in from other provinces. The entire handling up to return runs without a store visit.
HDR10+ and 12-bit colours – why the signal path is especially sensitive
HDR10+ requires precise control of the brightness levels and dynamic metadata from the AMOLED panel. An impact that deforms the panel minimally internally can disturb exactly this control path without breaking through the visible glass. That is the reason why HDR mode shows a white image with a grey gradient while SDR mode still runs properly: the SDR electronics use a simpler signal path. A screen replacement restores the full 12-bit HDR path with all 68 billion colours.
Punch-hole, 90 W charging and 120 Hz – what stays after the swap
The replacement panel is chosen so that the punch-hole front camera, proximity sensor and the AMOLED fingerprint sensor fit exactly to the original position. The 90 W fast charging via USB-C is not affected, the 5000 mAh battery stays untouched. The 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate also runs reliably again after the swap – including dynamic switching between 60, 90 and 120 Hz depending on the app.

Frequently asked questions about the Poco F6 screen replacement
Repair the Poco F6 display — price at Reparo?
The screen replacement on the Poco F6 costs €179 fixed price. Included are a tested 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with HDR10+ and 120 Hz, the complete installation as well as 6 months warranty on panel and labour. The diagnostic (25 EUR) is waived as soon as you order the repair.
Why does HDR mode now only show a grey gradient?
When HDR10+ content suddenly appears white with a grey gradient while SDR material runs normally, the HDR signal path in the AMOLED panel is internally damaged after an impact. The 12-bit control no longer works cleanly – the panel can no longer correctly reproduce highly dynamic scenes. A screen replacement restores the full HDR path.
How long does the screen replacement on the Poco F6 take?
In the workshop 2–3 hours. With pickup service in Vienna you usually get the Poco F6 back repaired the same working day. With send-in from other provinces expect 1–3 working days after arrival plus return shipping.
Do HDR10+, 12-bit colours and 120 Hz stay after the swap?
Yes, completely. The fitted replacement panel mirrors the original specifications: HDR10+ certification, 12-bit colour depth (68 billion colours), 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 2400 nits peak brightness. We test every panel for HDR playback and colour accuracy before delivery.
Is the punch-hole for the front camera especially vulnerable?
Yes. The punch-hole is a structurally thin spot of the AMOLED and breaks first in falls onto the upper middle of the display. Fine cracks around the selfie camera slowly spread further. With the screen replacement the panel including the punch-hole zone is completely replaced and realigned.
Can I simply bring the Poco F6 into the shop?
Reparo has no walk-in customer area. It runs exclusively via two ways: pickup service in Vienna or insured postal shipping from other provinces. You book an appointment, we collect the device or you send it in – the workshop itself is not publicly accessible.
How exactly does the pickup service in Vienna work?
After booking the appointment you coordinate a time-slot. A Reparo employee comes to your desired address in Vienna, takes the Poco F6, brings it to the workshop and delivers it back to the same address after the repair. The pickup is included in the regular service.
Can I send the Poco F6 in from Graz, Linz or Salzburg?
Yes, send-ins are possible from all of Austria – Styria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol, Carinthia, Lower Austria, Burgenland and Vorarlberg. Pack the device shock-proof and send it by insured parcel to our Vienna workshop. We repair and return insured.
Is any data lost during the screen replacement – photos, apps or WhatsApp chats?
No. During the screen replacement only the AMOLED panel is swapped – the internal flash storage stays untouched. Photos, apps, WhatsApp chats and MIUI/HyperOS settings are exactly as before after the repair. A backup beforehand is still a sensible precaution.
What warranty do I get on the new panel?
Reparo gives 6 months warranty on the swapped AMOLED panel and the professional installation. If a fault without external influence occurs in this period – such as pixel errors, HDR dropouts or touch problems – we fix it free of charge. Fall or pressure damage is excluded.
Original panel or aftermarket AMOLED for the Poco F6?
For the Poco F6 we fit tested AMOLED replacement panels that meet the full HDR10+ and 12-bit specifications of the original panel. Original displays directly from Xiaomi are barely available on the open market for this model – the certified aftermarket panels deliver almost identical values in brightness, colour and touch.
What does the diagnostic cost if I am not sure what is broken?
The diagnostic costs 25 EUR and includes a complete HDR, colour, touch and brightness test of the Poco F6. If you decide on the repair, the diagnostic fee is fully offset against the repair price – you then only pay the €179 for the screen replacement.
Poco F6 fell into water and the display reacts differently – is that possible?
The Poco F6 has no full IP certification. With water contact: switch the device off immediately, do not charge, do not blow-dry. In the diagnostic we check whether only the AMOLED or also the mainboard is affected. With a pure display fault the fixed price of €179 applies – with moisture on the board we discuss a cost estimate.
Is the screen replacement on the Poco F6 still worth it in 2026?
Yes. The Poco F6 was only released in 2024 and still receives HyperOS updates. An equivalent new device like the Xiaomi 14 starts at around €899 – almost five times the repair price. With an isolated display fault without further defects the swap for €179 is economically the clearly better choice.
What happens if the battery or the charging port is affected besides the display?
As part of the diagnostic we also check the 5000 mAh battery, 90 W USB-C charging port, camera and speaker. If several components are affected, you receive a transparent overall cost estimate and decide which repairs are carried out. Combined prices for multiple repairs are possible.
