Unlink the AirPods 4 from your account
In the Find My app choose the AirPods 4 under Devices and tap Remove This Device. Then reset them: both earbuds in the case, lid closed for 30 seconds, open it and double-tap the front of the case while the light is on, twice more when it flashes white and a third time when it flashes faster. How do I clean AirPods 4 before selling them?
With a dry, soft, lint-free cloth for earbuds and case. Brush the mesh on the earbuds carefully with a soft, dry brush. Water, cleaning agents or sharp objects do not belong in the openings of the AirPods 4.
