A faulty MacBook still has value

As long as your MacBook has never been opened by third parties, we still buy it and repair it in our Vienna workshop. Air or Pro — what drives the price?
On the MacBook Air, what matters most is whether the aluminium casing has dents and how many charge cycles the battery has clocked. On the Pro, SSD size weighs more heavily, because large storage is in demand and cannot be upgraded later. Across all models, a clean display without dead pixels and a battery with moderate cycles noticeably lifts the trade-in price. The original charger adds a small bonus on top.

Shipping is free and insured, every purchase is documented and settled solely via PayPal or bank transfer — we deliberately do not pay cash. After arrival we inspect your device and get back to you with the final amount; the money usually reaches you around 48 hours after the check.

Do I get more for a MacBook Pro than for an Air?
Usually yes, because the Pro models offer more power, brighter displays and larger SSDs. You will see the exact difference once you open your specific model in the calculator.
Do you buy a faulty MacBook too?
Yes. A cracked display, a weak battery or a fussy keyboard is no reason to refuse, as long as the device has never been opened by third parties. We repair it in Vienna ourselves and pay a fair residual value for it.
How is the trade-in price determined?
The starting values above apply from condition "very good". We set the final amount after inspecting the display, battery charge cycles, SSD size and casing. Until then all figures are non-binding estimates.
How does the payout work?
We pay out only via PayPal or bank transfer, usually around 48 hours after our inspection. We deliberately do not pay cash, so every purchase stays traceable.
Do I need to wipe my MacBook first?
Yes, erasing your data is your responsibility. Sign out of your Apple account, turn off "Find My", remove the activation lock and reset to factory settings. We can only buy a device that has been signed out.
Is it better to sell or to repair?
