Preparing the iPhone 13 for its next owner
Transfer your data first, either with Quick Start straight to your new phone or through an iCloud backup. Then open Settings, tap your name, scroll down and sign out, which turns off Find My and Activation Lock in one go. Finish under General › Transfer or Reset iPhone with Erase All Content and Settings. If you used an eSIM, the reset deletes it; a physical SIM comes out of the tray. A used iPhone 13 with scratches you notice straight away is worth up to 110 € to us. If the marks only show under a bright light, it counts as light wear and brings up to 150 €. On a second-hand iPhone 13, marks on the aluminium frame weigh less than on the screen.
