With normal signs of use and fully working it is 85 €, with a weak battery or drifting Joy-Cons 55 €, and we buy a faulty, unopened Switch from 35 €. On this model the battery costs the most: if the Switch only lasts two hours, we have to replace it.

Switch with a fault: sell it anyway
The Switch no longer charges, the dock does not detect it, or the screen stays black? If the console was never opened, we pay from 35 €. Charging port, battery and sticks are known weak points of the Switch, and we fix them in our Vienna workshop ourselves.
How you get money for your Switch
In the calculator you state how the Switch starts, what the screen and casing look like and which accessories are included. Once you agree, an insured label arrives by email and we pay the postage. Resetting the Nintendo Switch for sale
Back up your saves with Nintendo Switch Online or transfer them to your new console. Unlink the Switch under HOME Menu › Virtual Game Cards › Settings, then reset it fully under System Settings › System › Formatting Options. This deletes users, saves stored on the console and settings.

What is the Nintendo Switch trade-in value?
With us 110 € like new with both Joy-Cons and dock, 85 € with normal signs of use and 55 € with a weak battery or Joy-Con drift. A faulty Nintendo Switch that was never opened brings from 35 €.
How do I tell whether my Switch is the first version or the V2?
The serial number is on the bottom of the console. If it starts with XKW, you have the improved 2019 Switch with longer battery life. Our prices apply to this version; for the first Switch from 2017 the value is usually lower because of the weaker battery.
Is the Switch OLED worth more than my regular Switch?
Yes. The Switch OLED brings 150 € like new, the regular Switch 110 €. The OLED has the larger screen and twice the storage.
What do I get for a Switch with a weak battery?
With a battery that barely lasts, the Switch is at 55 €, if everything else works. We replace the battery ourselves. Do not open the console beforehand, a Switch opened by a third party brings less.
Do you buy a Switch with Joy-Con drift?
Yes. Drifting Joy-Cons are the most common flaw on the Switch and put it at 55 €. We replace the sticks ourselves, but we do not buy single Joy-Cons without a console.
How much do scratches count when selling a Nintendo Switch?
Fine marks on the screen or the back keep the Switch at 85 €. Deep scratches in the screen or cracked glass count as a fault. Peel off any screen protector before shipping.
Do I need the dock to sell my Switch?
No, but the full set of dock, power adapter, HDMI cable and both Joy-Cons gets the full price of up to 110 €. If something is missing, we still buy the Switch and deduct the replacement.
Do I get more money for the Nintendo Switch in its original packaging?
A little: box and original cables add a small bonus in the calculator. Without the box, pad the Switch well, the screen is delicate.
Can I send my Switch for free from Carinthia or Salzburg?
Yes, the insured label is free throughout Austria, from Villach to Hallein. You drop the Switch at the post office and get the same price as in Vienna.
What does it cost if I want my Switch back after the inspection?
We charge 10 € for return shipping if you decline our inspected offer. If the price differs from the estimate, we explain it beforehand.
How do I delete my data on the Nintendo Switch before selling?
First unlink the Switch under HOME Menu › Virtual Game Cards › Settings, then reset it fully under System Settings › System › Formatting Options. Back up your saves with Nintendo Switch Online beforehand.
When do I get the money for my Nintendo Switch?
Around 48 hours after the inspection by bank transfer or PayPal. There is no cash, so every trade-in is clearly documented.
Where can I trade in a Nintendo Switch in Austria?
MediaMarkt buys game consoles but, according to its trade-in page, pays only as a gift card. GameStop closed its Austrian stores in early 2023, according to press reports. With us you get money for the Switch by bank transfer or PayPal.
Do you buy my Switch games too?
No, only the console with Joy-Cons, dock and cables. Take game cards and the microSD card out before shipping. Digital games stay in your Nintendo Account.
Should I sell my old Switch before or after buying the Switch 2?
Before, if you do not want to keep it anyway: since the Switch 2 arrived, the used price of the first Switch keeps falling. Today a well-kept Switch still brings 85 €, like new 110 €.
