Console trade-in values 2026: what the main models bring
We pay the most for the PS5 Pro, up to 400 €, followed by the Switch 2 at up to 300 € and the Xbox Series X at up to 250 €, each in like-new condition. A PS5 Slim brings up to 240 €, a Switch OLED up to 150 €, a PS4 50 to 85 € depending on the model.
With light signs of use the amounts are usually around a fifth lower. Faulty, never-opened consoles start at 15 € (PS4) up to 145 € (PS5 Pro). As of September 2026.
Selling a faulty console
A torn-off HDMI port, a noisy drive, drifting Joy-Cons or a console that shuts down mid-game: for a workshop that is no reason to walk away. As long as nobody has opened the console before, you get a price, which the calculator shows straight away based on your answers.
Free shipping from anywhere in Austria
You do not have to live in Vienna to sell your console to us. Whether from Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck or Klagenfurt: once you agree, you get an insured shipping label by email and drop the parcel at the post office without paying postage. The trade-in runs by post only, for Vienna customers too, and the price is the same everywhere.

Where can I sell my console in Vienna?
With us, by post: calculate the value, get the free label and drop the console at the nearest post office. There is no in-store drop-off for trade-ins, for Vienna customers either. The money arrives around 48 hours after the inspection.
Is there a console buyer near me?
You do not need one: we buy from all over Austria by post, and the insured label is free. That way you get the same price in Innsbruck or Villach as in Vienna, without a trip to a shop.
Do you buy old consoles like the PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii?
We have no trade-in price for them; the calculator covers PS4, PS5, Switch and the Xbox Series. Older consoles are mainly of interest to collectors. For a PS3 or Xbox One, call us and we will tell you honestly whether shipping it is worth it.
Do you buy faulty consoles?
Yes. A dead HDMI port, a rattling drive, Joy-Con drift or crashes from overheating do not rule out a trade-in, as long as the console has not been opened. The calculator shows the adjusted value.
How is the trade-in value of a console calculated?
In the calculator you state how the console starts, what it looks like, which functions work and which accessories are included. That gives an instant non-binding estimate. The price becomes binding after our technician has inspected it.
How much do accessories add when I sell a console?
A working controller keeps the price, a second one adds a bonus, the box and original cables a small extra. We do not buy games, headsets, VR headsets or memory cards.
Do I have to remove my account from the console before selling?
Yes. PlayStation: deactivate the primary console or Console Sharing and reset. Switch: unlink it under Virtual Game Cards and initialise it. Xbox: remove the home Xbox and reset everything. We cannot buy a console with an account on it.
What does shipping my console cost?
Sending it to us costs nothing; the label is insured and valid throughout Austria. Only if you decline our inspected offer do we charge 10 € for return shipping.
Do I get cash for my console?
No, we pay by PayPal or bank transfer, around 48 hours after the inspection. That way every trade-in is clearly documented.
Console trade-in: MediaMarkt, GameStop or Reparo?
MediaMarkt buys game consoles but, according to its trade-in page, pays only as a gift card. GameStop closed its Austrian stores in early 2023, according to press reports. With us you get money by bank transfer or PayPal, even for a faulty console.
Is it still worth selling an old PS4 or Switch?
Yes. A well-kept PS4 still brings 40 to 50 €, a PS4 Pro up to 85 €, a regular Switch 85 to 110 €. With every new generation the old one loses more value, so waiting rarely pays off.
Is the Digital Edition worth less than the console with a drive?
Yes. The PS5 Digital brings 170 € like new, the disc PS5 200 €. With Xbox, the all-digital Series S at 130 € is clearly below the Series X at 250 €.
Should I sell my console privately or to a trade-in buyer?
Privately you often get a little more, but messages, viewings and the risk of fake payments cost time. With us the price is fixed after the inspection. Faulty consoles are hard to sell privately anyway.
