Faulty and never opened, they bring from 20 €. That is 10 € more than for the AirPods 4 without noise cancellation. On this model the price drops mainly because of a scratched glossy case and fading battery life in the earbuds.

Sell faulty AirPods 4 ANC
If noise cancellation drops out on one side, the case charges neither by cable nor wirelessly, or one earbud is quieter than the other, we still buy the AirPods 4, as faulty from 20 €. Both earbuds and the case must be included, and nothing may have been opened. Without the case we pay at most that amount; we do not buy single earbuds.
With or without ANC? How we tell the AirPods 4 apart
From the outside both AirPods 4 versions look almost the same. You recognise the version with noise cancellation by the case: it has a small speaker grille at the bottom and also charges on a wireless charging mat. In the Bluetooth settings you will also find the noise control switch. We test sound, microphones, noise cancellation, Transparency mode and battery. Box and cable add nothing.

Resetting AirPods 4 ANC without a button
First remove the AirPods in the Find My app under Devices with Remove This Device. The AirPods 4 case has no button, so resetting works by tapping: earbuds in the case, lid closed for 30 seconds, then open, double-tap the front of the case while the light is on, twice more when it flashes white and a third time when it flashes faster. When it flashes amber and then white, you are done. That is also on Apple’s support page.

How important is the battery when selling AirPods 4 ANC?
Very important, because the earbud battery cannot be replaced. If the AirPods 4 with noise cancellation still last several hours at a stretch, there is no deduction. If they empty much faster than at the start, they drop a level.
Should I clean my AirPods 4 ANC before sending them in?
Please do. Because the AirPods 4 have no silicone tips, dirt sits right on the mesh. Wipe earbuds and case with a dry, soft cloth and carefully clean the mesh with a soft brush, without any liquid.

How do I remove the AirPods 4 ANC from my Apple Account?
In the Find My app choose the AirPods 4 under Devices and tap Remove This Device. Then reset them by tapping the case. While they are linked to your Apple Account, we cannot buy them.

Does Apple take the AirPods 4 with ANC at trade-in?
On its Austrian trade-in page Apple does not name AirPods as a trade-in device, but recycles them for free. You usually get no amount there. With us there is money for working AirPods 4 with ANC by PayPal or bank transfer.
