Yes, provided we properly renew the seal on the camera visor and the mid-frame. The Pixel 6a has IP67 — protected against dust and brief submersion up to 1 m for 30 minutes. Important: the 6a is not IP68 like the regular Pixel 6, so less depth reserve.
Does the Pixel 6a have a telephoto zoom?
No. The Pixel 6a only has a main camera and ultra-wide, no optical telephoto zoom. Zooming in only works digitally, which visibly costs sharpness with stronger crops. This characteristic can sometimes be mistaken for a fault — but it is by design.
How long do you need for the Pixel 6a camera repair?

Is a glass replacement enough or does the whole module have to come out?
If only the protective glass over the visor is scratched and the images are still clean, we replace just the glass — cheaper and faster. If the lens delivers blurry images or no longer focuses, the complete module has to come out. The diagnostic decides.
Will my photos be lost during the module replacement?
No, the storage is not touched. Photos, apps and settings stay untouched. Still: a current backup via Google One or locally is good insurance before any repair.

Most of the time the fault is in the main sensor itself or in the image stabilisation. You notice both exactly when night mode needs long exposure times — if the OIS function is missing, the image becomes washed out. A module replacement solves both causes.

Six months warranty on the module and the repair work. If a follow-up fault occurs that can be traced back to our procedure, we fix it at no additional cost. Drop damage afterwards is logically not covered.
Pixel 6a got wet — camera is fogged up, what to do?
Switch off immediately, do not charge. IP67 does not protect against every situation, and especially after a fall the seal can be damaged. We open the device, check for corrosion on the module and mainboard and replace whatever is no longer usable. The sooner you get in touch, the better the chance that the mainboard survives.
Repair the Pixel 6a or switch directly to the Pixel 8a?
The Pixel 8a costs around €549 new. At €79 for a repair, the difference is €470. Anyone happy with the battery, display and performance of the 6a is clearly better off economically repairing. If you are unhappy with the Tensor G2 anyway, switching can make sense — but the camera alone rarely justifies it.
