How does the M51 screen replacement work at our place?
- Intake diagnosis, 15 minutes
We check whether only the front glass is cracked or the Super-AMOLED behind it is also damaged. Touch is tested in all screen quadrants, colour rendering compared against a reference graphic, fingerprint sensor (side button) and front camera checked for function.
- Open the back cover, release the frame
The M51 has a glued back — with controlled heat and suction cups we open the device without damaging the plastic frame. The internal flex cables to the battery and mainboard are secured.
- Remove the old panel, fit the new one
We separate the faulty display module from the frame with carbon spudgers. The new Super-AMOLED panel is positioned, the touch flex connected to the mainboard, punch-hole and earpiece cut-out checked.
- Reseal, final test, function test
Fresh adhesive frame, back cover set again. Then 15 minutes of function testing: touch, colour space, front camera, brightness at full level, speaker. After about 2 hours your M51 is ready for collection.

Why repair at all instead of buying new?
The Galaxy M51 currently costs between 140 and 180 € used — roughly as much as our screen replacement. At first glance that sounds like a tie. But: with a used purchase you get a device with an unknown battery history, an unknown drop history, and you have to migrate all your data. The M51 in your hand has a battery you know — and the 7000 mAh are probably still close to the original state.
With the M51, the screen replacement only pays off if the battery is still good and the device otherwise has no defects. If your M51 already has clear battery weakness AND a display defect, a newer mid-range device like a Galaxy A25 or A35 is the smarter investment. We will tell you that honestly in the diagnosis.

A new Samsung Galaxy A25 with similar equipment costs around 220 €, an A35 around 310 €. With both, the battery is significantly smaller (5000 mAh) than on the M51. Anyone who wants to keep using the large battery will no longer find the M51 feature set in any current Samsung model.

Yes. During the screen replacement we touch neither the flash storage nor the SIM card nor the SD card. Photos, WhatsApp, Samsung account, installed apps — everything stays unchanged. A Samsung Cloud backup before the repair costs nothing and takes 5 minutes — we recommend it anyway.
Does the fingerprint sensor work after the swap?

Not always. The M51 has no IP certification — water reaches the mainboard easily. For flickering after water contact we first do a 25 EUR diagnosis (waived on repair) to rule out corrosion on the mainboard. A pure screen replacement without a corrosion check often only lasts weeks.
