A used Google Pixel 8 brings 175 € with us if it shows no wear, and 140 € with fine scratches. If the display is cracked or the battery no longer lasts, it is 90 €, and a faulty phone that was never opened starts from 50 €. On the Pixel 8 we look closely at the glass cover of the camera bar: it sticks out, picks up scratches when you put the phone down on a table and cracks when dropped. A crack there counts as glass damage.
Sell a Pixel 8 with a broken display or a weak battery
Black patches on the screen, a crack across the display or a battery that gives up by lunchtime: we still buy the Google Pixel 8, as long as nobody has opened the housing. Disconnect your Google account from the Pixel 8
Make a backup with Google One first, or transfer your data straight to the new phone. Then remove your Google account, otherwise theft protection stays on and the Pixel 8 is locked after the reset. Only then reset it to factory settings and take out the SIM card. An eSIM is erased with the reset.

What is the Pixel 8 trade-in value with 256 GB?
For the 256 GB version we add 25 € to the base price. Like new that makes 200 € instead of 175 €. You find the storage under Settings › Storage.
What resale value does a Pixel 8 with scratches on the camera bar get?
Fine scratches on the bar or the frame usually keep the Pixel 8 in the 140 € tier. If the glass over the lenses is cracked, we treat it as glass damage and it ends up closer to 90 €.
Can I sell a broken Pixel 8 with a cracked display?
Yes. We accept a Pixel 8 with a cracked or dark display if it has never been opened. With a broken display we pay 90 €, if the phone is faulty overall, from 50 €.
How much is deducted on a Pixel 8 for a weak battery?
Nothing above 85 percent capacity, a little between 80 and 85 percent, noticeably more below that. A Pixel 8 with a heavily aged battery falls into the 90 € tier. We measure the capacity again in the workshop.
Does it cost anything to send my Pixel 8 from Tyrol or Carinthia?
No. You get the insured label from us by email, whichever Austrian state you send the Pixel 8 from. You pay nothing at the post office and get the same price as in Vienna.
What do I pay if I decline the offer for my Pixel 8 after the inspection?

Open Settings › Passwords, passkeys & accounts, choose your Google account and tap “Remove account”. Then reset the Pixel 8 to factory settings under System › Reset options.
