Anyone who wanted a compact premium device without sacrificing performance could hardly ignore the Find X5. Dimensity 9000, 80 W fast charging and a surprisingly strong vapor-chamber cooling for a device this size. At 6.55 inches the display is handy — and therein lies a repair issue too: smaller panels are produced by suppliers in smaller batches, which can temporarily limit availability.
Most Find X5 units reach us with two problems — screen cracks after pocket drops (the curved glass is delicate) and battery wear after 18 months of heavy use. We repair both at fair fixed prices.
Display: 6.55 inches with 120 Hz – compact yet precise
The AMOLED panel delivers sharp colours and a smooth picture thanks to 120 Hz. For damage we replace the complete unit — glass, OLED and digitizer in one. Swapping just the bonded glass is not technically reliable on this model, which is why we do not even offer it.
Dimensity 9000 and vapor chamber — the figures behind the power
The MediaTek chip delivers iPhone-13-like performance but gets warm under sustained load. The vapor chamber helps spread the heat. Worth knowing: if the thermal paste between the CPU and the vapor chamber dries out over the years, the device heats up quickly during gaming or video recording. With mainboard repairs we renew the thermal paste as standard — free of charge as part of the service work.
Straight talk — the Find X5 is the less popular sibling of the Pro model and was built in smaller numbers. Spare parts are available, but not always in stock right away. With a parts order expect 3–5 working days, with exotic colour variants a little longer.

Diagnosis: 25 EUR flat, but we do not charge it once you place the repair order. That is fair — because a diagnosis is honest work, and we do not want to advertise bait offers with "free" that we would later have to recoup through repair surcharges.

Yes, but only at a booked time slot in the 22nd district, there is no open shop. Pickup service in Vienna or send-in by post from all of Austria — those are the two ways.
How long does the repair take?
Screen or battery with parts in stock: 45–60 minutes of repair time plus 1–2 days of handling. With parts on order an additional 3–5 working days.
Do I lose data during the repair?
No, not with a screen or battery swap. The internal storage is not touched. A backup beforehand is still not a bad idea — especially before longer repairs.
Does the vapor-chamber cooling work after the repair?
Yes — for repairs where the mainboard is moved, we open the cooling and renew the thermal paste. That is standard procedure, at no surcharge.
How much does water damage treatment cost?
From 69 EUR — the final price depends on the extent of the damage. We first do an ultrasonic clean, then check all components and give you a final price.
Does 80 W SUPERVOOC still work after a battery swap?
Yes. We use only SUPERVOOC-certified battery cells. 30 W AirVOOC (wireless charging) also remains fully functional.
Is the diagnosis free?
The diagnosis costs 25 EUR but is waived on a repair order. A fair compromise: we do a serious analysis, and you only pay for it if you decide against the repair.
Is repairing the Find X5 worth it?
Used, the Find X5 still costs 280–400 EUR. A screen replacement at 179 EUR or a battery swap at 69 EUR is clearly cheaper — and you keep your photos, accounts and settings.
What do I do after water damage?
Switch off — do not turn it on to test. Do not charge, do not blow-dry, do not put it in rice. Call us immediately so we can start the ultrasonic clean quickly.
Does the repair extend the manufacturer warranty?
No effect on the original Oppo warranty — that has expired after 24 months anyway. You get a 6-month Reparo warranty on what we did and on the installed spare part.
What warranty do you give on the repair?
6 months on the repair carried out and the installed part — in writing on your invoice. A fault at the repaired spot = free rework.
