Galaxy A-Series
Modern Galaxy A-Series devices (A40 to A56) use USB-C with 15 W to 25 W fast charging. The charging port is a soldered board socket — when worn or bent, swap is the cleanest fix. From EUR 59 including fitting and charge test.
Galaxy S-Series
The Galaxy S-Series (S20 to S25) uses USB-C with 25 W to 45 W Super Fast Charging. Because of the higher load, the port is a higher-spec part — repair from EUR 79. After fitting we check the fast-charging behaviour with the original charger.
Older models (before 2018)
All Samsung devices launched before 2018 typically use Micro-USB: Galaxy S7, S6, J-Series (J3, J5, J7) and A5 (2017). From the Galaxy S8 and the 2018 A-Series, Samsung switched to USB-C. Reparo keeps replacement parts for both standards in stock.
These signs point to a faulty charging port
Charging cable falls out
The port has worn out, the cable doesn't lock anymore. Most common sign — port replacement fixes it.
Only charges with the cable in one direction
USB-C is reversible. If it only works one way, contacts inside the port are bent or worn — replacement needed.
Charging stops mid-cycle
The port loses connection during use. Often combined with cable wobble. Cleaning sometimes helps, otherwise replacement.
Fast charging no longer working
Phone charges only with 5 W instead of 25 W or 45 W. Faulty data lines in the port. We check the part and replace if needed.
No PC connection possible anymore
Data lines damaged. Charging still works, but USB connection to the PC fails. Replacement restores the data path.
Device doesn't charge at all

Replace charging port or buy a new Samsung?
A new Samsung Galaxy A55 5G costs from EUR 389, an S25 from EUR 899. The charging port repair from EUR 59 is the cheaper fix in almost every case — you keep your data, your apps, your familiar device. Only when several parts are broken at the same time does buying new make sense.

USB-C (from Galaxy S8, A8 2018)
All modern Samsung models from 2018 use USB-C. The part is a board socket fitted with about 24 pins. Wear and pin bend are typical defects. With 25 W or 45 W fast charging the load is high — higher-spec parts here.
Micro-USB (Galaxy S7, J-Series, A5 2017)
Older devices use Micro-USB. Symmetrical, less robust than USB-C, but cheap to source. From EUR 59 the same as USB-C.
