Before shipping: sign out of your accounts
The 12X runs MIUI, where the Xiaomi account sits at the very top of Settings. Sign out there so that “Find device” is off, and remove the Google account under Accounts. Then back up photos and chats and reset the phone to factory settings. With an active lock the 12X cannot be bought by us.
