Seven years old: what we look for on the Mi 9
We check whether the Mi 9 starts reliably, whether the AMOLED shines evenly and whether the in-display fingerprint sensor still recognises reliably, which sometimes fades on older phones. We also test the three cameras, wired and wireless charging and the speaker.

On the Mi 9 the account is still called Mi account. Sign out in Settings so that “Find device” is off, and remove the Google account. Then back up your photos, on a phone this old ideally on your computer as well, and reset the Mi 9 to factory settings.
