The Galaxy A31 launched in April 2020 as a quiet workhorse model — 6.4 inch Super AMOLED FHD+ at a EUR 279 launch price, with the rare addition of an on-screen optical fingerprint sensor at this price point. Inside ran the MediaTek Helio P65, a 48 MP quad camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. The A31 became one of Samsung’s best-selling 2020 mid-rangers in Vienna because it bundled AMOLED, big battery and decent camera in one cheap package. Six years later, most A31 units are showing their age — cracked panels, weak batteries, slow charging — but a EUR 99 repair still brings them back to daily-driver state.
