On the Galaxy A04 the battery sits under the plastic back and is held with adhesive strips. We open the housing, disconnect the battery from the logic board, release the old cell without pressing on the cell itself and fit the new one with fresh strips. Then we close the A04 and check charging. That usually takes 60 to 90 minutes.

The Galaxy A04 has a lithium-polymer battery with 5,000 mAh, charged via USB-C. The cell is held in the housing with adhesive strips and cannot simply be taken out like on older phones with a removable battery. With the right tools and a little heat, though, the replacement is done in just over an hour.
Why not replace it yourself?

Tips so the new battery lasts
Avoid heat, such as the phone in the car in summer. Rather charge more often in between than let the A04 run completely flat. And use a decent USB-C cable; a worn cable charges slowly and warms the port.

Yes, that is a typical sign. If the voltage of an old cell briefly drops, the A04 restarts, especially in the cold or when the camera is running. If it also happens with a full battery and no load, the software may be to blame; we clarify that in the diagnostic check.
My A04 has a bulging back – what now?
Then the battery has probably swollen. Stop charging, do not press on it and leave the A04 switched off. We remove the cell safely and fit a new one for EUR 49.
How long will I be without my A04 when the battery is replaced?
The replacement itself usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. With pickup in Vienna you often get the A04 back the same day, by post after two to four working days.

Are my contacts still there after the A04 battery replacement?
Yes. The battery replacement does not touch the storage; contacts, photos and apps remain. Backing up still does no harm, and via your Google account it takes a few minutes.
What warranty is there on the new battery in the Galaxy A04?
Six months on the battery and our work. If the runtime drops noticeably during that time or the battery does not charge properly, we replace it free of charge. Drop and liquid damage are not covered.
