The A04 has an LCD with the backlight behind the display. If the panel is squeezed, bright patches or lines often appear instead of a visible crack. That too can only be fixed with a new screen. How the A04 screen repair works
The screen repair on the Galaxy A04 usually takes one to two hours with us. We first cut the power supply, then release the broken screen from the housing with heat and clean the frame of adhesive and splinters. The new original Samsung screen is connected, glued in and tested before you get your A04 back.

The A04 screen: LCD, 6.5 inches, no fingerprint
Inside the Galaxy A04 is a PLS-type LCD, 6.5 inches in size with an HD+ resolution of 720 × 1600. Glass, touchscreen and display are glued together and are always replaced as a whole. We use an original Samsung screen that matches model number SM-A045F, so that image and touch work exactly as when you bought it.
Does a screen from the A04s or A04e fit?
We do not rely on that. The A04s has a different 90 Hz screen and costs EUR 89 with us, see Galaxy A04s screen replacement. We always order the part that belongs to your phone’s model number, so that image and touch work reliably.
Do I have to set anything up again after the replacement?
No. The A04 has no fingerprint sensor, so there is nothing to register again. PIN, pattern and face recognition work as before after the screen replacement, and your settings stay unchanged.

Why does the screen cost more on the A04 than on the A04s?
Because they are two different spare parts that also cost different amounts to buy in. On the A04 you pay EUR 99, on the A04s EUR 89. Both times it is an original screen with fitting and warranty.
Samsung A04 touch no longer works – is it the screen?
After a drop, almost always. If the screen responds only in places or not at all, the touch layer is damaged, and it is firmly bonded to the screen. Restart the A04 once. If the fault remains, only a new screen for EUR 99 helps.
The A04 shows lines and flickers – can that be repaired?
Yes, with a new screen. Lines and flickering occur when the LCD or its connector is damaged after pressure or a drop. We first check whether just the connector is loose, but usually the screen itself is affected.
How quickly is the A04 ready with a new screen?
One to two hours of workshop time. If you book a pickup in Vienna in the morning, the A04 is often back with you the next working day; by post the shipping days are added, usually two to four in total.

Cover the broken glass with parcel tape, switch the A04 off and pack it with padding in a sturdy box. An envelope is not enough. After the replacement we send it back to you insured.

Yes. We only change the screen; we do not touch storage or apps. WhatsApp, photos and contacts are unchanged afterwards.
How long is the new screen in the A04 covered?
