Why we still see so many A53 5G screens cracked
The 6.5 inch panel is larger than the A54 5G and sits closer to the frame edge, which means corner drops transfer more force directly into the glass. The aftermarket OLED (EUR 109) gives full 120 Hz response and accurate colour after fitting. The original Samsung Super AMOLED panel (EUR 139) is a perfect match if you want factory tolerances. Side-mounted fingerprint sensor in the power button means both options unlock the phone without any sensor recalibration.
The Exynos 1280 and the battery drain question
Samsung’s own Exynos 1280 ships exclusively on the A53 5G (no regional Snapdragon swap, unlike some S-line generations). It is efficient enough that most A53 5G owners get two full days of mixed use when the phone is new. The complaint usually comes around 18 months in — the 5,000 mAh cell loses around 15% of its capacity, and screen-on time drops noticeably. Plastic back, glass front — what cracks and what bends
Unlike the glass-back A54 5G, the A53 5G keeps a plastic back panel. The upside: it does not shatter into pieces when dropped. The downside: deep scratches accumulate and the soft-touch finish wears around the camera bump.
