Lines on the screen, shattered glass or a phone that gets hot while charging: a damaged A53 still has value for us if it was never opened by a third party. We pay about 30 percent of the top value for it, which means from 20 EUR. We take care of the repair ourselves afterwards.
Galaxy A53 or A53 5G: is there a difference?
Not in the device itself. Samsung sold the A53 only as a 5G model, with model number SM-A536B. The box says "Galaxy A53 5G", the settings under About phone often just "Galaxy A53", and in everyday use almost everybody drops the 5G. So there is no need to guess which version you have: there is only one. For the price, only storage, looks and function count.

Back up your photos, contacts and chats. Remove the Samsung account and all Google accounts under Settings › Accounts and backup, then reset the phone to factory settings under General management.
