Asus Laptop Repair Vienna

Your Asus has stopped playing along: the screen stays dark, the battery no longer lasts an hour, or the charging socket has developed a wobble. Reparo repairs every Asus family in Vienna and speaks English throughout — ZenBook, VivoBook, the ROG and TUF gaming machines and the ExpertBook business line. Screen and battery from €149, keyboard from €99, charging port from €89, with six months of warranty. Diagnostic check 25 EUR, waived on repair.

Asus families on our bench in Vienna

Asus prints a friendly name on the lid and a cryptic code on the underside, and only the code tells us which panel and cell to order. Pick your family below, then find the line beginning with UX, X, GA or FA on the base plate before you ring.

Which Asus repair brings you here?

Every card names the figure the work starts from. What your machine actually comes to depends on the code on its base plate, and you hear that number before a single screw moves. The 25 EUR check leaves the invoice again as soon as you approve the repair.

* Diagnostic check 25 EUR — struck from the invoice the moment you go ahead. Liquid damage from €99, cooling service from €59.

Four things that happen on every Asus repair

  • You get a fixed figure on the phone or after the check, never an open-ended estimate
  • Pickup in Vienna (zone A €14.90, B €17.90, C €18.90, return included) or postage from any province
  • No part is ordered before you have approved the price
  • Six months of warranty on the fitted part and on the labour

What an Asus laptop repair costs in Vienna

Asus repairs start at €149 for a screen and €149 for a battery, €99 for a keyboard, €89 for a charging port, €89 for a touchpad, €89 for a hinge, €99 for liquid damage, €59 for a cooling service or a replacement power adapter and €169 for an SSD or memory upgrade. The band your machine falls into is set by the panel type above all: an OLED or touch display costs considerably more than a matte office panel. The diagnostic check is 25 EUR and it is waived once you approve the repair.

We quote per component rather than per model because Asus sells the same friendly name across several very different builds. What we need from you is the code on the base plate, not the marketing name, and with that we can usually name the part in the first conversation.

The name is on the lid, the number is underneath

ZenBook codes begin with UX, VivoBook with X or M, ROG with G and TUF with FA or FX. That short string identifies the panel resolution, whether an OLED layer is fitted, the cell capacity and whether memory is socketed or soldered. It is worth two minutes with a torch, because it is the difference between us ordering once and ordering twice while your laptop waits on a shelf.

An Asus that will not start, and the light that still glows

If nothing at all happens, unplug the charger, hold the power button for twenty seconds, reconnect and press once with no dock or USB stick attached. If the small charging light glows but the machine still refuses to boot, power is arriving and the problem sits further in: a deeply discharged cell that has not yet reached its release threshold, or the mainboard itself. Those two look identical from outside and are separated by measurement, not by guesswork.

A third pattern is common on the gaming models. The fans spin up loudly for a second, then everything goes quiet again. That usually points at the power delivery rather than the display, and it is a case where continuing to press the button genuinely makes things worse.

Asus symptoms, likely cause and the route we take

What you see Likely cause Repair route
Black screen, fans audible Panel, display cable or backlight External monitor test, display unit from €149
Charges only at one cable angle Worn USB-C or barrel socket Socket renewed from €89, both ports tested
Runs an hour on a full charge Cell near the end of its cycles Capacity measured, new cell from €149
Loud fans, frames dropping Dust in the fins, dried thermal paste Cooling service from €59, temperature measured after
Lid clicks, bezel lifting Torn hinge mount in the plastic Hinge repair from €89 before the cable is crushed

The parts people ask about most

The keyboard and the palm rest are one assembly on most slim ZenBook and VivoBook builds, which is why a single failed key still means replacing a unit rather than a switch. The wireless card sits in its own slot and can be changed on its own. Memory is socketed on many VivoBook, TUF and ExpertBook machines and soldered on the thinnest ZenBooks, and storage is nearly always replaceable, which is what makes an upgrade from €169 such good value on a five-year-old machine.

Is it worth repairing, or is a new Asus the better buy?

For one clear fault the arithmetic almost always favours the repair, and not only on price. Your Windows, your licences and your files stay exactly as they are, and you skip the evening of reinstalling everything. Where we say so plainly is the other case: when an older VivoBook needs a panel and a mainboard in the same month, we put the two figures next to a replacement and let you decide with real numbers rather than a sales pitch.

How your Asus gets to Reparo and back again

Three routes, all with a fixed price. In Vienna a courier collects the laptop from your flat or office and returns it repaired, both journeys inside the zone price from €14.90. From any other province you post it in and the insured return shipping is already included. Or you take a booked slot and hand it over in person in the 22nd district. There is no open counter, so every handover has a time attached and nobody waits in a queue.

Asus repair in Vienna — the questions that come up first

What does an Asus laptop repair cost in Vienna?

The starting figures hold across every Asus family: screen and battery from €149, keyboard from €99, charging port, touchpad and hinge from €89, liquid damage from €99, cooling service or a replacement adapter from €59 and an SSD or memory upgrade from €169. Which end of the band you land in is mostly decided by the panel, because an OLED or touch display is a far dearer part than a matte one. The binding figure follows the 25 EUR check, and that fee is waived on repair.

What does a screen for a ZenBook or VivoBook come to?

A matte non-touch VivoBook panel sits near the bottom of the band that opens at €149. A ZenBook with an OLED layer or a Flip model with bonded touch glass costs considerably more, because the whole assembly is replaced rather than a bare display. Tell us whether your screen responds to a finger and whether the colours look unusually deep, and we can place the panel type before you even bring the machine in.

My Asus shows nothing at all when I press power. What now?

Unplug the charger, hold the power button down for twenty full seconds to drain the residual charge, then reconnect and press once with no dock, mouse or USB stick attached. If still nothing lights up anywhere on the case, no power is reaching the board and the adapter, the cable or the socket is where we look first. Stop repeating the attempt after that, especially if liquid has been near the machine recently.

The charging light glows but my Asus still will not boot. Why?

Because power arriving is not the same as power being released. A deeply discharged cell has to reach a threshold voltage before the firmware allows a start, and that can take half an hour on the charger without any sign of progress. The other explanation is the mainboard. From outside the two look identical, which is why we measure rather than guess, and the 25 EUR check tells you which of them you are dealing with.

Can the battery in an Asus be changed, or is it glued in?

It can be changed on every Asus we see, including the slim ZenBooks. Some builds hold the cell with adhesive strips rather than screws, which makes the job a careful one but not an impossible one. A replacement starts at €149 and we measure the real capacity before recommending it, because a laptop that lives on mains power sometimes only needs the charge indicator recalibrating rather than a new cell fitting.

Can you renew the charging socket on an Asus?

Yes, on both kinds. The ZenBook and most VivoBook models charge over USB-C, while ROG and TUF machines use a large barrel plug because they draw far more power. Both sockets loosen with years of plugging in, and both can be renewed from €89. Before we desolder anything we test your adapter and cable as well, since a failing power brick produces exactly the same symptom for a fraction of the cost.

The hinge on my VivoBook has cracked the case. Repairable?

Yes, and the sooner the better. The hinge screws into plastic posts inside the base, and when those tear the lid starts to click and one corner of the bezel lifts. While only the mount is damaged the repair stays small, from €89. Leave it and the hinge pushes the bezel apart from inside and crushes the display cable running through it, at which point a display assembly joins the bill.

Can you fix an Asus keyboard, backlight included?

Yes. Doubled letters, a dead row or a backlight that only lights part of the deck all point at the keyboard assembly, which we replace from €99. On the slimmer ZenBook and VivoBook builds the keyboard and palm rest come out as one piece, so a single broken key still means a unit. Where a drink reached the deck we also inspect the board beneath it before fitting anything new on top.

Do you handle ZenBook models with an OLED panel?

Yes, and they deserve a word of their own. An OLED assembly is a dearer part than a conventional panel, so the quote sits well above the €149 entry figure, and we always confirm the exact type from the base plate code before ordering. On the other hand nothing about fitting one is exotic, and burn-in from a static taskbar is a separate matter that no repair can reverse.

My ROG or TUF gets loud and hot. What can you do?

Strip the cooling and clean it, which fixes the great majority of these. After a couple of years of gaming the fins behind the fans hold a mat of dust, the heat has nowhere to go and the machine slows itself deliberately, which is what you notice as frames dropping. We clear the fins, apply fresh thermal paste and measure the temperature under load before and after, from €59.

Where do I find the model number on an Asus?

On the sticker on the base plate, as a short code rather than the name on the lid. ZenBook codes start with UX, VivoBook with X or M, ROG with G and TUF with FA or FX. That code tells us the panel resolution, whether OLED is fitted, the cell capacity and whether the memory is socketed. Reading it out on the phone is the single fastest way to a quote that will not change later.

Can I send an Asus in from another province?

Yes, from anywhere in Austria, and the insured return leg is already inside the price. Power the machine down properly, wrap it in bubble wrap, choose a firm box with several centimetres of padding on each side and enclose a note with your name, phone number and a plain description of the fault. Add the charger if the laptop refuses to start, because swapping in a known adapter is one of our very first tests.

Can I hand my Asus over at your workshop?

Yes, at a booked slot in the 22nd district. There is no counter with opening hours to walk into, because appointments mean a technician is genuinely present and your laptop goes onto the bench rather than into a queue. The exact address arrives with the confirmation. Working this way keeps our costs down, and that shows up in the repair prices instead of in the rent for a shopfront.

Do you fit original parts, and what warranty comes with it?

We fit parts built to Asus factory specification for your exact build, matching resolution, capacity, connector and frame. Every repair carries six months of warranty on the part and on the labour, and that applies across Austria including machines that arrived by post. If the same fault comes back inside that window without a new fall or a fresh spill, we put it right without charging you again.

Do my files survive, and is a repair worth it on an older Asus?

For a screen, battery, keyboard, touchpad, hinge or socket the drive never comes out, so your files, programmes and passwords stay untouched. A backup beforehand remains sensible, particularly when the machine already struggles to start. On an older laptop a single repair plus an SSD upgrade from €169 often delivers more everyday speed than a budget replacement would, and we say honestly when several costly parts have failed at once.
