Battery replacement – €179
Two hours of runtime left, macOS showing „Service recommended", or the case bulging so the trackpad no longer clicks. We release the glued cell, fit a new one at full capacity and calibrate it. €179 fixed, usually done within the hour on an Air. On the M4 models it is €219.
Screen replacement – from €499
A crack across the Retina panel, a dark patch behind the glass, or vertical stripes that move when you open the lid. Glass and panel are bonded on every MacBook, so we replace the complete display assembly and carry your camera, antennas and sensors over. €499, or €599 for model years from 2023.
MacBook won't turn on
No picture, no sound, no charging light. Before you write it off: charge for 30 minutes on the original adapter without switching on, then hold the power button for ten seconds. If it stays dark, the diagnostic check tells us whether the battery, the charging port or the logic board is behind it.
Keyboard repair – €249
Keys bouncing, sticking or staying silent, backlight failing in rows. On the 2016 to 2019 butterfly generation a single crumb is enough. We clean first and only replace the keyboard unit when cleaning does not hold — that replacement is €249.
Liquid damage – from €89
Coffee, tea or water over the keyboard: switch off immediately, unplug, do not switch on again and please no rice. We clean the board in an ultrasonic bath for €49, credited against the repair, which starts at €89. Every hour the device reaches us earlier improves the odds.
Charging port and MagSafe – €189
The plug sits loose, power only flows at a certain angle, or the charging light stays off. It is not always the port — cable, adapter and the charging circuit belong in the check before anything gets desoldered. Port replacement is €189.
Trackpad repair – from €79
The click only works near the edge, the surface sits higher than the case, or the pointer jumps. In most cases a swollen battery is pushing against it from below, which makes this a battery job rather than a trackpad job. From €79.
Fan cleaning – from €79
The MacBook sounds like a hairdryer during video playback, gets hot underneath and throttles mid-export. After a few years the heatsink fins are packed with dust. Cleaning plus fresh thermal paste brings back quiet and speed. Note: the M-chip Airs have no fan at all.
Data recovery
The machine will not start but the photos, contracts and projects are still on it. On older Intel MacBooks the storage can often be read out separately; on Apple Silicon the SSD is tied to the processor, so it depends on the logic board. We tell you honestly what is possible.

Your data stays on the device
For battery, screen, keyboard and trackpad work we never touch the storage, and on Apple Silicon the SSD is soldered to the board anyway, so there is nothing to remove. We only need your login if you want us to run the function test inside your account; otherwise set up a guest user beforehand and we check screen, keyboard, trackpad and charging behaviour without ever seeing your files.

What does a MacBook repair cost?
The common jobs have fixed prices: battery €179 and €219 on the M4 models, screen €499 and €599 from model year 2023, keyboard unit €249, charging port and MagSafe €189, trackpad and fan cleaning from €79 each. Only liquid damage is staged, because the board decides what is needed.
Do you repair both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
Yes, every model from the 2018 Intel machines through to the current M4 generation, in 13, 14, 15 and 16 inches. Choosing Air or Pro at the top of this page takes you to the list of models for that line with the prices attached.
How do I find out which MacBook I have?
Look at the small print on the underside of the case for a code beginning with A, for example A2337 or A2779. That number identifies the exact generation, which decides the part we order and therefore the price. If the printing has worn away, the model name and year appear under the Apple menu in About This Mac, and that is enough for us to work out the A-number.
Is a repair still worth it on an older MacBook?
That is your call, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say is that a battery or keyboard on a working machine costs a fraction of a replacement, and you keep your setup, your licences and your data. If a device really is beyond sensible repair, we say so rather than sell you two parts.
Do you use original Apple parts?
We use parts built to Apple's factory specification for your generation. Apple does not sell most components to independent workshops, so anyone promising sealed Apple boxes is not being straight with you. What matters is that resolution, capacity and behaviour match — and that we back it for six months.
What warranty do I get?
Six months on the part and on the labour. If the same fault returns in that period without a new impact or spill, we fix it again at no cost. Fresh drops and liquid after the repair are not covered, which is the usual line everywhere.
Will a repair void my Apple warranty?
If your Mac is still inside Apple's warranty or AppleCare, take it to Apple first — a genuine defect is their job and costs you nothing. We are the sensible route once that has expired, or when the damage is accidental and Apple would charge full price anyway.
How long does a repair take?
Usually one working day once the part is in the workshop. Screens and batteries for current models are normally in stock; older Intel parts occasionally need ordering, and we tell you that up front instead of letting you wait. Liquid damage is the exception: cleaning and drying alone usually take two to three days before anyone can say what still works.
Does the diagnostic check cost anything?
€25, deducted in full when you go ahead with the repair. For liquid damage it is €49 because the machine has to be opened and the board cleaned before anyone can judge the extent. The check tells you something either way: cycle count, battery health and the exact A-number of your machine, written down, whether or not you go ahead.
Can you get my data off a MacBook that will not start?
Often yes, but it depends on why it will not start. On Apple Silicon the storage is soldered to the board, so recovery means working on the board itself rather than pulling a drive. We check first and tell you what is realistic before you pay for anything.
Is the whole process available in English?
Yes, start to finish — the call, the written quote, the pickup and the invoice. A good share of our customers are internationals living in Vienna, so nothing about this is unusual for us. That includes the small things that usually trip people up — the shipping note, the courier message and the warranty terms are written in English as well.
How does pickup in Vienna work?
You book a slot, our courier comes to your address and brings the machine back once it is done. The zone price of €14.90, €17.90 or €18.90 covers both directions, so there is no second charge for the return. If nobody can be at the address, name a neighbour or a reception desk when you book; the courier hands it over there instead of leaving you waiting in all morning.
Can I send a MacBook from outside Vienna?
Yes, from anywhere in Austria, and the insured return shipping is on us. Pack it properly: shut down, bubble wrap, a firm box with five centimetres of padding, and a note with your contact details. Add the charger, and if the machine will not start, say so on the note; an Apple charger is one of the quickest checks we can make before opening anything.
Can I hand my MacBook over in person?
Yes, by appointment in the 22nd district. There is no shop counter you can simply walk into — we work by booked slots so that somebody is genuinely there and your machine goes straight onto the bench. You get the exact address in the confirmation along with the slot. Bring the charger, and know your password — we do not need it, but the first restart after the repair may ask for it.
What should I do immediately after a spill?
Turn it off, keep it off and do not connect the charger. Skip the rice and the hairdryer, both of which make things worse. Get it to us quickly — the damage from sugar and acid grows day by day, and an early clean often keeps the repair small.
