The S21 Ultra arrived in January 2021 with one decision that quietly killed the Note line: it was the first S series Samsung to support the S Pen. No built-in silo (you carried it separately or in a special case), but full Wacom-grade digitiser under the screen and the same handwriting and Air Command experience Note buyers had relied on for a decade. The last Note — the Note 20 of 2020 — was the final one. The S21 Ultra was the first non-Note Samsung with active S Pen support. The Wacom digitiser sits below the curved AMOLED, which means a replacement panel must match the S Pen calibration after fitting. The 5,000 mAh cell is five years old. The dual-telephoto module, 5G modem and QHD+ LTPO panel together draw considerable charge. Most cells now sit below 80 % health. A EUR 89 swap restores the original capacity and the original 25 W Super Fast Charging.
