Save your game progress to the cloud or a USB stick. Under Settings › Account Management, deactivate the Slim as your primary PS4, then run a full initialisation under Settings › Initialisation. Include controller, power cable and HDMI cable to get the best price.

The Slim is smaller, matte all over and has rounded edges; the model number on the bottom starts with CUH-2. The original model has one glossy half, the PS4 Pro three layers in its casing.
Do you pay more for a 1 TB PS4 Slim than for 500 GB?
No, both versions have the same price in the calculator. What matters more on the PS4 Slim is a clean casing, a working drive and the controller.
How much more does the PS4 Slim bring than the first PS4?
60 € like new compared with 50 € for the first PS4. The Slim is newer, quieter and buyers prefer it.
Do you buy a PS4 Slim that no longer pulls in discs?

How much do signs of use lower the price of a PS4 Slim?
Small marks on the matte casing keep the PS4 Slim at 45 €. Visible flaws such as deep scratches, dents or chipped corners put it at 30 €. A crack in the casing counts as a fault.
Do I need the DualShock 4 to sell my PS4 Slim?
No, but without a controller the calculator deducts a noticeable amount. A working DualShock 4 keeps the price, a second one adds a bonus. Stick drift costs only a little.
Is the original box important when selling a PS4 Slim?
No, but box and original cables add a small bonus in the calculator. Without the box, pad the PS4 Slim well; shipping is insured.
Can I send my PS4 Slim for free from Salzburg or Burgenland?
Yes. The insured label is free throughout Austria, and you drop the PS4 Slim at the nearest post office. The price is the same as in Vienna.
Who pays for return shipping if I reject the price for my PS4 Slim?
You do, with 10 € for return shipping. That only applies if you decline our inspected offer. We explain any difference from the estimate beforehand.
How do I initialise the PS4 Slim before shipping?
First deactivate the Slim as your primary PS4 under Settings › Account Management. Then choose the full option under Settings › Initialisation › Initialise PS4. We cannot buy a console with an active account.
When is a PS4 Slim sale paid out?
Around 48 hours after the inspection, by bank transfer or PayPal. There is no cash payout. You receive the confirmation with the final amount by email first.
PS4 Slim trade-in: MediaMarkt or Reparo?
MediaMarkt buys game consoles but, according to its trade-in page, pays only as a gift card. With us you get money in your account or via PayPal for the PS4 Slim, and we take it faulty too. refurbed currently does not buy consoles.
Should I clean the PS4 Slim before selling it?
Wiping the outside with a dry cloth is plenty. Do not open the Slim to clean the fan, an opened console brings less. We remove the dust inside when we refurbish it.
Do you buy a PS4 Slim with games on the hard drive?
Games on the hard drive have no value of their own because they are tied to your account. The PS4 Slim must be fully initialised before shipping, which deletes them. You can download them again later on another console.
