What is my PlayStation worth? Trade-in values 2026
The PS5 Pro brings the most, up to 400 € in like-new condition, followed by the PS5 Slim at 240 €, the original disc PS5 at 200 € and the PS5 Digital at 170 €. In the PS4 range we pay up to 85 € for the Pro, 60 € for the Slim and 50 € for the original model. With signs of use the amounts are lower; faulty, unopened consoles start at 15 € (PS4) up to 145 € (PS5 Pro).
Within one model, four things make the difference: does the console start with a picture, does the drive work, is the fan quiet, and is a working controller included. As of September 2026.
Selling a broken PlayStation
A blue light with no picture, a drive that spits discs back out, or a PS5 that switches off while you play: as long as nobody has opened the console before, we buy it. For a faulty PS5 we pay from 65 €, for a faulty PS4 Pro from 25 €. Our Vienna workshop takes care of the troubleshooting.
Before shipping: sign out of your account
On the PS5 you switch off Console Sharing and Offline Play under Users and Accounts › Other and reset the console under System › System Software. On the PS4 you deactivate it as your primary PS4 under Account Management and initialise it fully. We can only buy a PlayStation that has been reset; the steps are also on every model page.

Which PlayStation models do you buy?
The PS4, PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro as well as the disc PS5, the PS5 Digital Edition, the PS5 Slim and the PS5 Pro. Pick your model above; on the model page the calculator works out the value for your condition.
Which PlayStation gets the highest trade-in value?
The PS5 Pro, with up to 400 € in like-new condition. It is followed by the PS5 Slim at 240 €, the disc PS5 at 200 € and the PS5 Digital at 170 €. A PS4 brings 50 to 85 € depending on the model.
What is an old PlayStation 1 worth today?
We do not buy the PlayStation 1. Its value depends almost entirely on collectors, meaning condition, original packaging and rare games, and retro dealers or private buyers judge that better than a workshop. We buy PlayStations from the PS4 onwards.
Do you buy a PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3?
We have no fixed price for the PS2 or PS3; the calculator only covers the PS4 and PS5 ranges. The PS2 is mainly a collector’s item today. If you want to sell a PS3, call us on +4367762801426 and we will tell you honestly whether shipping it is worth it.
Is a PS4 still worth anything today?
Yes. A well-kept first-generation PS4 brings 40 to 50 € with us, a PS4 Pro 70 to 85 €. Because more and more games only come out for the PS5, prices drop a little every year.
Do you buy a faulty PlayStation too?
Yes, as long as it was never opened. For a faulty PS5 we pay from 65 €, for a faulty PS5 Slim from 80 €, for a faulty PS4 from 15 €. You state no picture, a loud drive or overheating in the calculator.
How much does a missing controller take off a PlayStation trade-in?
A missing DualSense or DualShock costs a noticeable amount in the calculator, because buyers would have to buy a new one. A second working controller adds a bonus instead. Stick drift only takes off a little.
Do you buy PlayStation games, VR headsets or the PlayStation Portal?
No, we only buy consoles with controller and cables. Games, PS VR, PS VR2, the PlayStation Portal and headsets are not part of the trade-in. Take any disc out of the drive before shipping.
Can I send my PlayStation from anywhere in Austria for free?
Yes. The insured shipping label is free throughout Austria, from Vienna via Graz and Linz to Bregenz. You drop the console at the post office, and the price is the same everywhere.
What does it cost if I want my PlayStation back after the inspection?
If you decline our inspected offer, we charge 10 € for return shipping. If the price differs from the estimate, we explain what we found on the console beforehand.
How do I delete my data before selling my PlayStation?
PS5: switch off Console Sharing and Offline Play, then reset under System › System Software. PS4: deactivate it as your primary console under Account Management and initialise it fully. Your purchased games stay in your PlayStation account.
When do I get the money for my PlayStation?
Around 48 hours after the inspection by bank transfer or PayPal. We do not pay cash, so every trade-in is properly documented.
Where can I trade in a PlayStation in Austria: MediaMarkt, GameStop or Reparo?
MediaMarkt buys game consoles but, according to its trade-in page, pays only as a gift card. GameStop closed its Austrian stores in early 2023, according to press reports. With us you get money for your PlayStation by bank transfer or PayPal, even for a faulty unit.
Should I sell my PlayStation privately or to a buyer like Reparo?
Privately you often get a little more, but messages, viewings and the risk of fake payments cost time. With us the price is fixed after inspection and the money arrives around 48 hours later. Faulty consoles are hard to sell privately anyway.
Do I get more for my PlayStation in the original box?
A little: box and original cables add a small bonus in the calculator. It is not required. What matters more is that the console arrives well padded.
