With the Pixel 5a's aluminium unibody we only reach the interior via the display. We warm the adhesive surface in a controlled way, carefully release the display and replace the faulty speaker module. Then we fit a new IP67 seal.

Which speaker module goes into the Pixel 5a?

The 6.34 inch OLED display with 60 Hz and FHD+ is firmly glued on the Pixel 5a – an aluminium unibody means we only reach the main speaker and earpiece by releasing the display. Reparo works with controlled warming of the adhesive surface so the frame stays undamaged. IP67 after the repair – what stays, what changes
From the factory the Pixel 5a is IP67-certified – dust-tight and protected against immersion up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. After every intervention the factory certification is formally voided, that's the case everywhere in the industry. During the speaker replacement we replace the IP67 seal with a new adhesive pad, so the splash protection in everyday use is retained. The Pixel 5a – unlike some mid-range models – has no wireless charging, so the additional check of the charging coil is omitted. Is the IP67 protection retained after the speaker replacement on the Pixel 5a?
We replace the IP67 seal during the intervention with a new adhesive pad – so the splash protection in everyday use is given again. The official factory certification formally counts as voided after every opening, that is generally the case – no matter which workshop repairs it.

How exactly does the pickup service in Vienna work?
You give your preferred appointment and a meeting point online – home, office or another place in Vienna. We come at the agreed time, pick up the Pixel 5a, repair it in the workshop and bring it back.
Sending in the repair – how does it work from the provinces?
Book an appointment, pack the Pixel 5a in a padded sleeve, send it to Reparo. We repair it within one to two working days and send the device back insured – this works from any location in Austria.
Are photos, apps and accounts retained?
Yes, completely. The speaker module is physically separate from the internal storage – we touch neither the mainboard nor the data storage. No backup is necessary, but making one never hurts.
Original part or aftermarket – what does Reparo install?
We use high-quality compatible modules made exactly for the Pixel 5a that reproduce the sound character of the original. Google original parts for older models like the 5a are no longer openly available.
