The fan costs the most: the Pro runs warm under load, and a loud unit or one that shuts down needs taking apart and fresh thermal paste. Selling a PS4 Pro with a fault
Your PlayStation 4 Pro overheats, shows no picture or the drive gets stuck? Even broken, it is still worth something. If it was never opened, we pay from 25 €. Cleaning and repair happen in our Vienna workshop, all you do is pack it.
How you get money for your PS4 Pro
In the calculator you state how the Pro starts, how loud the fan is and whether the controller works. Once you agree, you get an insured label by email and we cover the postage. In Vienna we test picture, drive, fan and Wi-Fi, then we pay by bank transfer or PayPal around 48 hours later. Details in our trade-in terms.
Signing out and wiping the PS4 Pro
Back up your saves to the cloud or a USB stick. Then deactivate the Pro under Settings › Account Management › Activate as Your Primary PS4. Under Settings › Initialisation › Initialise PS4 choose Full, which wipes the 1 TB hard drive thoroughly. Allow some time for it.

Why does the PS4 Pro bring more than the PS4 Slim?
Because it has more power, makes use of 4K TVs and comes with 1 TB of storage. In our trade-in that means 85 € compared with 60 € for the PS4 Slim and 50 € for the first PS4.
My PS4 Pro is extremely loud: will you still buy it?
Yes. A loud PS4 Pro is at 45 €, because we open it, clean out the dust and renew the thermal paste. If it shuts down under load, also select overheating in the calculator.
How much do scratches lower the price of a PS4 Pro?
Light marks keep the PS4 Pro at 70 €. Clear scratches on the glossy top or chipped corners put it at 45 €. For the grade, what you see without a lamp is what counts.
Do you buy a PS4 Pro with no picture or a blue light?
Yes, unopened from 25 €. No picture can come from the HDMI port, the cable or the power supply. Try another HDMI cable first, then you know whether the console is really to blame.
Do you pay more for a PS4 Pro with a bigger hard drive?
No, the calculator has no bonus for that. If you swapped the hard drive yourself, tell us beforehand so we can assess the PS4 Pro correctly.
Does the controller have to be included when I sell my PS4 Pro?
No, but with a working DualShock 4 you get more, and a second controller adds a bonus. If a stick drifts or the battery barely holds, the calculator deducts a little.
Does the original box of the PS4 Pro bring more money?
A little: box and original cables add a small bonus in the calculator. It is not required. Without the box, pad the PS4 Pro well.
Can I post my PS4 Pro to you for free from anywhere in Austria?
Yes. The insured label costs you nothing, whether you live in Wels, Leoben or Dornbirn. You drop the PS4 Pro at the post office and get the same price as in Vienna.
What does return shipping of the PS4 Pro cost if I do not accept the price?
10 € for return shipping, and only if you decline our inspected offer. Beforehand we tell you why the price may differ from the estimate.
How do I deactivate the PS4 Pro as primary console?
Under Settings › Account Management › Activate as Your Primary PS4, choose Deactivate. Then reset the PS4 Pro fully. With an active account we cannot buy it.
How quickly do you pay for a PS4 Pro?
Around 48 hours after the inspection by bank transfer or PayPal. There is no cash. We confirm the final amount to you beforehand.
Can you trade in a PS4 Pro at MediaMarkt?
MediaMarkt buys game consoles and, according to its trade-in page, pays with a gift card. If you would rather have money in your account or via PayPal for your PS4 Pro, sell it to us. We take faulty units as well.
Is it worth selling the PS4 Pro to buy a PS5?
Yes, if you are switching anyway: the PS4 Pro still brings up to 85 € today, and its value keeps falling. Many PS4 games also run on the PS5, and your digital purchases stay in your account.
Do you buy a PS4 Pro together with PS VR or the camera?
No, we only buy the PS4 Pro with controller and cables. PS VR, the camera and headsets are not part of the trade-in. Please only send the console and its accessories.
