iPad value list: what we pay per model
What an iPad brings when you sell it depends first on the model, then on its condition. In like-new condition we pay the full amount, with light signs of use around 82 percent of it, with clearly visible wear around 62 percent. A faulty or cracked iPad that was never opened brings around 30 percent. The list shows both ends for the smallest configuration with Wi-Fi, as of September 2026.

Selling an iPad: what the price depends on
Three things decide the amount in an iPad trade-in. First, the glass: a crack, even just in the corner, counts as broken glass, and then we pay the faulty price. Second, storage: on the iPad Pro 13-inch M4, 1 TB brings up to 395 € more, on the iPad 9, 256 GB bring 75 € more. Third, cellular: depending on the model we add 15 to 110 € for the cellular version, and on some models we value it the same as Wi-Fi.
The Apple Pencil, keyboard, case and original box do not change the buyback price. They sell well on their own privately, for example on willhaben. A battery that simply lasts less costs nothing. Only an iPad that switches off without a cable or no longer starts counts as faulty.
Sell your tablet: we pay for iPads
If you want to sell a tablet, we pay a fixed price for every current iPad, from the iPad 9 up to the iPad Pro 13-inch M5 at up to 770 € in like-new condition. You ship the tablet for free from anywhere in Austria, and the money arrives around 48 hours after the inspection by PayPal or bank transfer. For Android tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab we currently have no price list.
Selling an old or used iPad
We buy used iPads at fixed prices from the iPad 9 of 2021, the iPad mini from the 6th generation, the iPad Air from the Air 5 with M1 and the iPad Pro from the 2020 models. An older iPad, such as up to the 8th generation, an iPad Air 3rd or 4th generation, an iPad mini 5 or an iPad Pro from 2018 and earlier, we value individually on request, because the remaining value is very low. Call us at +4367762801426. If an old iPad has no resale value left, any MA 48 recycling centre in Vienna accepts it free of charge as electronic waste.
Selling a broken or faulty iPad
An iPad with a cracked screen, touch failure, a faulty charging port or water damage is no reason for us to refuse, as long as no third-party shop has ever opened it. Even an iPad you think is only good for parts can still be sold to us. We then pay around 30 percent of the amount for a like-new device: an iPad 10 with a cracked display from 70 €, an iPad Air 11-inch M2 from 110 €, an iPad Pro 13-inch M4 from 190 €. The calculator on the model page shows the exact amount as soon as you select the damage.
Send your iPad in for free from all of Austria
You do not have to live in Vienna to sell your iPad to us. Whether from Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck or a small village: you receive an insured shipping label by email, drop the parcel at the nearest post office and pay no postage. The price is the same everywhere. Only if you reject our checked offer after sending it in do we charge 10 € for return shipping. The exact rules are in our trade-in terms.
Apple Trade In for your iPad or selling to Reparo?
With Apple Trade In you exchange your iPad for trade-in credit on the purchase of a new device or for an Apple Gift Card. Apple only states the exact amount once you enter model and condition, and in the end the actual condition counts. There is no cash or bank transfer. With us you receive money for the same iPad by PayPal or bank transfer, even with broken glass. If you are buying new from Apple anyway, the trade-in is convenient; if you want money to spend freely, compare both amounts.

Resetting your iPad before selling
Erasing remains your job, and it is the step where a sale most often gets stuck. Here is how: back up to iCloud or a computer. In Settings tap your name, switch off Find My iPad under Find My and choose Sign Out at the very bottom. Remove the Apple Pencil and keyboard under Bluetooth. Finally tap Erase All Content and Settings under General › Transfer or Reset iPad. We cannot buy an iPad with active Activation Lock. Apple describes the steps on support.apple.com/en-at/109511.

What should I do before selling my iPad?
Make a backup, switch off Find My iPad under Find My, sign out of your Apple Account and erase all content and settings under General › Transfer or Reset iPad. Remove paired Apple Pencils and keyboards. Only then is Activation Lock gone and the iPad ready for its new owner.

Which iPad models does Reparo buy at a fixed price?

What should I do with an old iPad?
If it came out in 2020 or 2021 or later, sell it while it still brings money: we pay up to 130 € for an iPad 9 and up to 285 € for an iPad Pro 11-inch from 2020. We value older models on request. If it has no value left, any MA 48 recycling centre in Vienna accepts it free of charge as electronic waste, and Apple recycles it too.
When is an iPad too old to sell?
When it no longer gets current updates and hardly anyone looks for it. That is why we buy iPads at fixed prices from the iPad 9, mini 6, Air 5 and the Pro models from 2020. Older iPads, such as up to the 8th generation or the iPad Air 3, we value individually on request.
Do you pay more for an iPad with cellular than for the Wi-Fi version?
On many models, yes: 110 € on the iPad Pro 13-inch M4, 75 € on the iPad A16, 25 € on the iPad 9. On the iPad mini 6, the iPad Air 5 and some Pro models we value the cellular version the same as Wi-Fi, because the difference on the second-hand market is too small. The model page shows it exactly.
Do an Apple Pencil and keyboard add money when I sell my iPad?
No, accessories do not change the buyback price with us. The Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, case and original box you can keep or sell separately, they are in demand second-hand. Just send us the iPad itself, well padded.
Does sending in my iPad cost anything?
No. You receive an insured shipping label from us by email and drop the parcel at a post office in Austria, we pay the postage. Only if you reject our checked offer do we charge 10 € for returning your iPad.
Do you buy an iPad that is still iCloud locked?
No. As long as Activation Lock is active, nobody can set the iPad up again, so we cannot buy it. If you have forgotten the password, reset it via iforgot.apple.com. If the iPad is enrolled in company device management, the IT department must release it first.
When do I get the money for my sold iPad?
Around 48 hours after the inspection in our Vienna workshop we release the payment by PayPal or bank transfer. We deliberately do not pay cash, every purchase runs through a written sales contract. That keeps the iPad sale traceable for both sides.
Is selling an iPad to Reparo safe?
We are a repair workshop in Vienna with a fixed address and phone number, not an anonymous online buyer. Every purchase runs with a written sales contract, the shipping label is insured, and the conditions are published openly in our trade-in terms. You see the price on every model page beforehand.
Can I sell an iPad with an engraving?
Yes, an Apple engraving on the back is no reason to refuse. We rate the iPad by model, storage, function and the condition of glass and case, just like a device without an engraving. Simply enter the condition in the calculator, the engraving itself does not count as wear.
