The Galaxy A35 5G launched in March 2024 and brought Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 (5 nm) back to the mid-range slot, after the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 detour on the A34 5G. The chip choice matters in service: Exynos boards run cooler under sustained workloads but the modem section is more sensitive to flex damage. The A35 5G also introduces Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front — a real upgrade in scratch resistance over the GG5 used on the rear. Back to Exynos — what changes during a repair
The Exynos 1380 sits closer to the antenna assembly than the Dimensity 1080 did. We use anti-static handling and lower iron temperatures during board work, especially around the 5G modem traces. End user benefit: faster CPU response than the A34 5G under sustained load, and a battery that lasts a little longer on the same 5,000 mAh capacity.
