Stick drift is caused by wear of the potentiometers inside the analog stick module. After thousands of hours of use the contact surfaces wear down and send incorrect position data. The result: your character moves even though you aren't touching the stick. A module replacement fixes the problem for good.
Micro-USB instead of USB-C — the charging port weak point
The DualShock 4 still uses Micro-USB for charging — a connector that's mechanically less robust than USB-C. Frequent plugging and unplugging loosens the port over time. If the controller only charges at certain angles or the connection keeps dropping, the port is worn out and should be replaced.

Does Reparo use original spare parts for the DualShock 4?
Sony does not sell individual spare parts for the DualShock 4. We use high-quality third-party modules that match the original specifications exactly — in gameplay you won't notice any difference.
Does a stick reset or calibration help against drift?
Sometimes briefly, but drift comes from mechanical wear — the potentiometer inside the module is worn down. A calibration only delays the problem. The lasting fix is a module replacement.
Can the controller repair affect my saved games?
No. Saved games are stored on the PS4 Pro's hard drive or in the cloud (PS Plus). The controller doesn't store any game data — your saves are completely safe.
My controller no longer connects via Bluetooth — what can I do?
First try a reset using the small button on the back of the controller. If that doesn't help, the Bluetooth module or the antenna may be faulty. Send the controller in and we'll check the cause.
