While newer controllers use USB-C, the DualShock 4 still relies on Micro-USB. This connector is mechanically more vulnerable: frequent plugging in and out loosens the port until it wobbles and the controller no longer charges. A port replacement solves the problem permanently.

No, it is the same DualShock 4 controller (CUH-ZCT2, second generation). The PS4 Slim was simply shipped with this newer model. The repair technique and price are identical to all DualShock 4 controllers.
Can I send the controller in for the repair?
Yes, send it in by post from anywhere in Austria. Pack the controller well and include a short description of the defect. The console does not need to be sent along — just the controller.
What is stick drift and can it be repaired?
Stick drift means the analog stick moves even without being touched — your character runs on its own. The cause is wear inside the potentiometer. We replace the faulty module completely so the stick responds precisely again.
My controller no longer charges via Micro-USB. Can that be repaired?
Yes. In most cases the Micro-USB port has widened mechanically or the solder joints have cracked. We replace the port under the microscope — after that the controller charges reliably again.

Yes. The DualShock 4 has an internal lithium-ion battery that loses capacity after 500–700 charge cycles. We replace it with a new battery of the same specification — after that it lasts several hours again.

First try the reset button on the back (small opening next to L2, press for 5 seconds with a needle). Then connect via USB cable and press the PS button. If that doesn't help, there is a Bluetooth defect, which we can repair.
